Begin your tour in the centrally-located Old Town, where your guide will provide an introduction to Krakow’s Jewish heritage and history. As this is a private tour, let your guide know if you'd like to tailor any parts of the route more closely to your interests.

Walk first to the Jewish district of Podgórze. Your guide will discuss the impact of World War II on the city and historic figures such as Oskar Schindler, who prevented the deportation of hundreds of Jews by employing them in his enamel factory. Visit a poignant memorial commemorating the lives lost during the Holocaust before heading to the district of Kazimierz.

Travel along the scenic Vistula River to arrive in the city's historic neighborhood. Visit the beautiful Remuh Synagogue, as well as Tempel Synagogue, a booming center of Jewish culture today and a popular spot for worship.

Pause to relax and refuel with a delicious Polish dessert and a coffee before walking around the Old Jewish Cemetery. Pass the area’s array of kosher shops and stop in at the Old Synagogue.

After three hours of Jewish history and culture, conclude back at your original departure point.

Excruciating was how one of our friends described this tour with Lucas our guide. 4 of us Lucas is passionate, asked us what we were wanting out of this tour and gave us little of what we asked. He has a passionate interest in rulers and synagogues We walked a great distance and stopped at a lot of religious places with long explanations in English that was basicoften having trouble finding the right word- which we would then help him with. It was a hot sunny day and all stops for information bar 2 in the sun, by the end of the day I was quite sun burnt. Lucas had not bought any water to drink with him so we supplied him with some water. He said that we could go inside the synagogues and in particular the Jewish cemetery, but there would be a fee for us to pay. The inclusions included public transport if needed. We needed to take to get back to the square at the end of the tour due to another commitment. We all got on the tram and Lucas showed us how to buy our ticket....??? then he said that he did not have enough money on him so we subsidized his tram ticket. Furthermore, as stated in the inclusions for the trip was coffee and Polish dessert well that never happened and obviously Lucas had no money. Personally we all thought a refund from the company is in order. Viator... this may be a great tour but the local operator needs to vet the tour guides a lot better. If you are looking at this tour it could be great but not for us. For the money paid...not with this tour guide.

Matt was fantastic! Working on his Phd and a wealth of knowledge. Imcould,go into, much detail but I won't. I can say I,would, have enjoyed any of his tours and the, knowledge he has. If I ever return to Krakow I would want to take his tours and I would, certainly recommend Matt to any of my family and friends.
