Fantastic Day! Highly Recommend

Got picked up by a driver on time and was very friendly and knowledgeable. We got some free sightseeing in with the driver and told us about the sights we passed, such as The ghetto and other things. The salt mines were very interesting and excellent. Although was a lot of walking and stairs, we didn’t mind that. The lift was out of order on the way up so had to walk about 2KM to the other lift. That was a minor issues. Very good facilities, such as an underground gift shop, toilets and cafe. The tour guide was very good and knowledgeable. Although sometimes couldn’t hear her. It’s was not that cold down the mines. But if you feel the cold like me, make sure you take some warm clothing.

Hotel pick up, confirmed the night before & arrival on time. Jerry (driver) was great, as was Evalina (guide). Both were very friendly & knowledgeable. Approx 40 mins drive from Krakow, with the guided tour lasting around 2 hours. Fascinating place with lots of history including incredible sculptures & chandelier’s made from salt Highly recommended

We booked this tour based on the reviews and we are glad we did. Our hotel was not on the list of pickups so we added it and Jerry, our driver, contacted us via Whatsapp the night before and arranged to pick us up at our hotel. He was right on time and gave us a great commentary on the 25 minute trip, pointing out the local landmarks etc. At the Salt Mines, he walked us to the ticket office, picked up our tickets and took us to the queue. A few minutes later he managed to get us past the huge crowds and straight in. He told us he would meet us at the exit to the mines and when we got there, he was there waiting for us. He then took us back to our hotel. An excellent service, a friendly guide and a totally recommended trip. If you want to visit the Salt Mines, book Jerry to get you there. You will not be disappointed at all.

Our guide Kate was full of interesting facts and figures. These salt mines are an amazing Warren of steps, tunnels and chambers with statues carved out of the rock salt. Be prepared for lots of walking. Our driver was very friendly and chatty.

One of the best parts of our trip to the salt mines was the drive there and back. Jerry, our driver to the salt mines, was very friendly and informative and gave us loads of info on the route with regards to the history of the area.

This tour was extremely well organised from start to finish. Jerry our driver was outstanding. He picked us up on time and even went out of his way to give us a private tour of some of Krakow. His knowledge and English were both excellent. He was also kind enough to send through some restaurant recommendations via WhatsApp with links. He could not have done more and nothing was too much trouble. The Salt Mine itself was also outstanding. After the initial walk down the 320 steps, the tour guide walked us through at the right pace and was very knowledgeable about the history of the mine. There is also a coffee / gift shop during the tour approximately 130 meters down. Definitely worth a visit. There is a lift back up so don’t worry about the 300+ steps back up!

Great experience and a must when visiting Krakow

The salt Mine was a great experience with a very good guide. The most impressing was the huge church room inside the mine a 100 m below the surface. This visit is a must if you visit Krakow. We were picked up spot on time by a very friendly driver who gave us a couple of good tips for our visit in Krakow. He told us that there are specific days when museums are free to enter. We thus visited the underground museum the next day based on the tip from our driver.

We had been warned about the steps down, exhausting but worth it! It's much warmer in the Salt Mines than I had realised it would be, most of our group were carrying their coats, so dress for approx 16c. Some of the sculptures are amazing, especially in the church. Our driver ' Jerry' was very informative and friendly, giving us some very interesting bits of information.

The salt mines itself very good but was shambles with pick up driver was late and had to call. Then on return journey driver wasn't there and we had to wait an HR for pick up so we ended up booking a taxi at our expense. The driver was so unprofessional as was slagging the office saying there's always a problem. The exit to salt mines was awful as rude polish guide didn't give us any info and didn't speak english
