Excellent driver/guide Marc took is there. Tour was arranged so we could access lift down to mine.Mine tour guide very informative and answered loads of questions patiently.
I took the wheelchair accessible tour in the salt mine. I am NOT in a wheelchair and I do not walk with a cane or crutches. But I am 69 years old and not physically fit although I certainly can walk around just fine. However, I was very concerned that descending down approximately 360 steps could cause me discomfort/pain afterward although it might not be permanent. I had visited the salt mines in 1991 when I was last in Krakow area. I was many years younger and considerably lighter in weight!! I really wanted to go again. It was worth the money to me to see that spectacular mine and the artwork to pay this money. It was just as wonderful as I had remembered.
