Descend to the atmospheric depths of one of the world’s oldest working salt mines on a half-day trip to the Wielickza Salt Mine from Krakow. Alongside your guide, you’ll travel to a depth of 462 feet (140 meters) and navigate an atmospheric tangle of underground chambers replete with mining machines and impressive carvings. Marvel at structures made entirely from salt as you listen to the salt mine’s rich history and ascend to sea level in a swift lift. Round-trip transport from your Krakow hotel is included.
Very cool easy tour. Plenty of time and can be completed in half a day. Impressive salt sculptures yet it was the guide and #39;s sense of humor that added to the enjoyment.
Bringing a light jacket is advised as it does get a little chilly as you go deeper into the mine.
Would highly recommend.
Excellent tour, pick up from hotel was good and our guide in the Salt Mine was very infotmative. A must di tour is you visit Kraków
Great tour. A must if you are in Kraków. Excellent tour guide.
Great tour, very interesting and informative but you do need to have good knees!
Our guide was excellent and bus driver very good and prompt. Couldn't fault it apart from having to phone up to get pick up time when we had been told we would be emailed.
An interesting way to spend a few hours, and an experience to go so deep underground although it proved a little claustrphobic at times for my partner. Worth doing if you have plenty of time in Krakow but we much preferred the Auschwitz tour.
