An absolute amazing tour. Driver collected me and my wife on time from our selected pick up point in krakow and he was very friendly and polite. Our tour guide was fantastic. Very good English speaker and very thorough in explaining each part of our tour. Well done to her. I would definitely visit Auschwitz-Birkenau camps again. This is a highly recommended trip. Thank you.
My only complaint is you don't know what time you will be picked up until the night before

I assumed it was 8:00 per the listing but I was told pickup was at noon. Would make it easier to plan your day if you know pick up time in advance. Anyhow the tour guide was very good and answered all my questions.
Very early start. Picked up by taxi at 7 am from a hotel about ten minutes away. Taken to a central point where we waited for 45 minutes for others to join a main tour bus. Dropped off about half an hours walk from my hotel. But it was worth it. The museum tour was amazing. The tour guide was very respectful. Birkenau is huge.
This was an utter disaster of a tour by Cracow Local Tours and I stress to anyone do not book this with this company. Their incompetence and amateur way of handling our tour was of epic proportions and ruined our visit to Krakow.
From not having it booked with the location, to having to pay on credit card and the not having guides for us. Utter garbage company.
Turned up to find our booked had not been made after about 3hours we ended up touring auschwitz alone with no tour guide! they took us to Birkenau first so we did the tour back to front really poor communication
It's clearly important that people visit, understand and appreciate what happened here.
The tour however is done under pressure, due to so many people coming here, and to some extent you feel rushed through, with information being thrown out to you... little time to digest, reflect, or even take a significant picture or so, without almost feeling you might lose your guide/ group..
Guide himself was very good, clearly passionate about it ...Not sure what the answer is, given the massive demand, but ultimately I left tired and frustrated that I felt I hadn't really absorbed Auszwich, and all that went on there..
This is a place that I have wanted to visit for a long time and it is worth every second. The experience was so sobering. Our guide, Marek, was just fantastic, so much knowledge. He was also our driver and picked us up form our hotel as agreed. We were first in the minibus, it was really early but he couldn't have been kinder. He explained that it was best to do the tours early as once it gets past 9am, the museum is really busy and that can ruin the experience as you get rushed round. Be warned, if you are likely to take offence to people taking photos, this happens. This was a slight mark on the day for me seeing some people taking beaming smiling selfies at the gate, just such a lack of respect. I would definitely recommend having the guided tour as they take you through in a logical manner and impart a lot of knowledge. I would go again in a second, there is so much to learn. I cannot recommend it enough.
While Auschwitz-Birkenau is certainly not an easy place to visit, I must say that the tour was organized for ease and efficiency. Our guide was pleasant, well paced, and respectful throughout the tour. The communication of connection location, etc was straight-forward and easy. The one thing that I would say as a caution to other travelers...there are many tours that leave from this location and I found it unnerving that tour after tour with Viator tags were leaving without our names upon their lists! Eventually, ours arrived but as the others departed I kept wondering, hrm...did I make a mistake with our booking somehow! Knowing this in advance might help to reduce the anxiety of fellow tourists. The length of the tour was just right. The camps were comprehensive in their explanations and the travel was comfortable. We had a full van, but the group size did not feel overwhelming. A bagged lunch is highly suggested as time is tight at each of the break spots.
