Itinerary

Day 1: Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport – Kruger National Park – Paul Kruger Gate (D)
When you arrive at the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, your driver will greet you and take you to your hotel to drop your things and freshen up. Then, it’s time to start your wildlife adventure!

Drive north to Kruger National Park, one of the largest game reserves in Africa located in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga. Here, you’ll spend the afternoon cruising through the reserve in an open-air vehicle to view the array of wildlife. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of a peerless wilderness, and enjoy breathtaking, unobstructed views from your vehicle.

At the end of your safari, make your way to your accommodation: the Protea Hotel Kruger Gate. Situated at the park’s Paul Kruger Gate, just outside the town of Hazyview, this luxury hotel, styled like a safari lodge, is set on the banks of the Sabie River amidst towering indigenous trees. The spacious and comfortable suite rooms features modern conveniences as well as spectacular private verandas and walkways high in the riverine forest canopy.

Relax at the pool or on the viewing decks overlooking the park. A highlight of your stay will be dining in the stunning open-air Lapa Restaurant, where the African stars are your ceiling. Enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers before getting a good night’s rest for tomorrow's safari adventure.

Day 2: Paul Kruger Gate – Kruger National Park – Paul Kruger Gate (B, D)
Fuel up with breakfast at your hotel before heading to the park for a full day of wildlife viewing. Your expert guide will take you to the best viewing spots for a chance to observe the Big Five: lions, African elephants, Cape buffalo, leopards and rhinos. The Big Five game are among the most dangerous, yet most popular species for big game hunters. Be sure to have your camera ready for these amazing sightings!

Stop at one of the rest camps for lunch (own expense), and then continue your safari for the remainder of the afternoon. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Paul Kruger Gate – Kruger National Park – Paul Kruger Gate (B, D)
After breakfast at your hotel, embark on your final wildlife journey through the magnificent expanses of the Kruger National Park. Enjoy a full day pursuing the Big Five as well as other rare and endangered species while listening to your guide point out and explain the park’s diversity of wildlife and flora and fauna.

You’ll be give time around midday to enjoy lunch (own expense) at one of the rest camps. Then, return to the lodge for dinner and your last overnight stay.

Day 4: Paul Kruger Gate – Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (B)
Reflect on your amazing African wildlife experience with your fellow travelers over a leisurely breakfast at your hotel. It’s then time to pack up and head to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your onward flight.
