We signed up for this 4 day tour to the Taman Negara Park, Cameroun Highlands, and Penang.
The tour itself was really great--we enjoyed the food, the tour guide was truly excellent, very polite, and extremely knowledgable about Malaysian tourism, culture, plants, economy. During all car rides, no matter how long, he would talk extensively about Malaysia and we learned a lot from him.
Since it was only 2 of us on the trip, we had our own private tour vehicle, it was just my husband and I on the tour, we had the car and the tour guide to ourselves.
Each day, we enjoyed our activities and the tour guide, Mr. Thurai was great in every way--very accomodating, polite, helpful, timely/punctual and extremely knowledgable about everything we were doing.
The floating cafe on day one at the Taman Negara park is much less romantic than it is sold as in the package description. It's a raft secured on the edge of the river and you are eating outdoors. Culturally relevant, but not as romantic or exciting as one would think of a floating cafe
Hike in Taman Negara Park is vigorous and not for the faint of heart. There are significant stretches where the climb is uphill. Bring plenty of water and a electrolyte drink or snack. You will need it, especially if you are not used to the weather. canopy walk at the end is fun though!
Restaurants: While all meals are included--on this four day tour, we were fed 3 lunches, and 2 dinner meals, ate breakfast at the hotel on days 1, 2, 3, and 4 which was included in the hotel price, On the 3rd night, they do not feed you dinner, nor any meals on day 4 which you are left to roam on your own and at your own expense.
Also, you would think that after spending 1,375 American dollars, they would take you to quality restaurants with clean western style bathrooms and air conditioning. While the food we ate was really tasty, and the restaurants were decent and clean, they were open air style restaurants a

Will be nice, if information said that this is this is climbing. And you need swimming dress for boat trip after climbing. And after that you can get dinner, not with wet clothes.
