When I signed up for this tour, I thought that the caves were the only thing worth seeing, and the other two stops were just filler. I was so wrong. I knew nothing about pewter, but the factory tour was incredible and I fell completely in love with the little pewter goblets that they served us 100 plus in for those not aware, think gatorade. I had to buy some. The batik factory was also amazing. In the US we only ever get machine printed fabric, and seeing and buying the hand-painted real thing was the highlight of my time in Malaysia.
When it came to the actual caves, they are gorgeous. The monkeys are incredibly photogenic. Though I'm not a Hindu, the caves feel very spiritual.
Although I rained like crazy, didn't get to see the monkeys but defo worth seeing for a half day trip.
Driver has friendly and helpful.
This tour is a must do from Kuala Lumpur. An amazing sight when you arrive. Climbing the steps can be hard going in the heat but definitely worth it. The monkeys don't bother you if you ignore them. Lots of souvenirs to buy at the bottom. Take this trip!
An excellent tour - quite short, but well guided. The steps were quite demanding!
The guide is very knowledgeable about the tour as well as when we ask questions not pertaining about it. He conversed well. He is highly recommended! He loves his job, he's so friendly and smiles a lot.
This tour was fantastic. I loved seeing all of the monkeys. There are 272 steps to climb to the top so wear comfortable shoes. Also, women must have their knees covered so wear pants or long shorts/skirt otherwise you will have to buy something to cover up with before you start your climb.
This tour was awesome. The guide gave good information. I highly recommend it if you will be in KL.
Our guide Henry made this trip what it was. Telling us stories on route about the temple, traditions and some background on the temple. Ultra professional, knowledgable and friendly. Guided us around and gave us tips. Would recommend.
This tour was great. The tour guide was very informative with plenty of different information on each area we drove through in KL. The pewter and Batik factory tours were both great. The pewter factory was much bigger than the Batik factory but that was fine with me because I love textiles so just walking around the shop was enjoyable. The Batu Caves were beautiful and worth the 272 steps to the top. It was a very warm walk up but I was happy to do it. The tour was great value especially with the pick up/drop off service. A must do in KL for the history an culture outside the city centre.
An awesome place to visit......try your best to get to the top.....well worth the sore legs following day. Views from the top and inside are incredible.
I definitely highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide was exceptionally informative. We learned from him an incredible amount about the history of Malaysia and the various inhabitants the Malays, the Muslims, the Indians, etc. We stopped in Little India and got the chance to browse around a bit and after the tour to the Batu Caves we got a chance to stop by a local area and view artists doing Malaysian Batik. The artwork was so beautiful. From pick-up to the drop-off, the tour was amazing. Beware of the monkeys when climbing towards the caves and temple. They are quite the mischievous bunch, but adorable at the same time. The guide should advise you on what to do and not to do such as avoid wearing anything flashy such as sunglasses because the monkeys may snatch them away. Also, if you plan on climbing the caves then it is best to wear a bottom piece that covers your knees this mainly applies to the women but I'd advise everyone to follow it just in case. Really interesting afternoon. Guide was really informative and talked about Malaysia on the way to the caves as well about the caves themselves. Batu caves were amazing but do take note of need for females to wear long trousers/skirt and cover shoulders. On way back we visited a Batik shop where we saw people making Batik. Although the hope for the shop owners was that we would buy, none of us on the tour did and did not feel pressured at all to do so. Caves are only about 30 mins away from city centre so a good tour to do in an afternoon.
This was a great, very organised trip. The visit to Batu Caves was amazing and so too was the temple.
Our guide was very informative and a lot of fun. The bus was comfortable and on time. If you are coming to Kuala Lumpur - book this tour.
This Batu Caves tour was amazing!!!! The statue is gorgeous and the place was not too crowded. You get to see monkeys on your way up to the caves and the way down. I witnessed hindu women singing inside the temple. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and told us about the history of the gods. I also enjoyed the visit to Little India.
I noticed that I left my sunglasses in the van after being dropped off. The tour guide returned them to the hotel the next morning. I am very appreciative of them taking the time to do that!
Exhausting steps to climb. If you are an adventurer it's worth it.
Excellent guide, temple tour was good, watch out for the steps especially on a humid day and take your time, but the views are excellent and the monkeys cheeky.
Our tour guide was the best! He made the experience amazing because of his funny and easy going personality. Luckily were we the only ones on the tour so we got to negotiate different times depending on our location. I highly recommend our tour guide again to anyone! 5 stars to him!
Tour guide was good and he explained very clearly .Booking through viator is convient.
