We were met by staff on given time and place. He welcomed us, walked us to food street which was very close and busy area. He asked as what is our expectation from tour and we told him to learn about local food. But we found out that most of restaurants were selling Chinese food. few were local as well.
We didn't enjoy the tour as the knowledge shared with us was about food presentation and eating cultures while our intention was to learn how Malay people prepare their food mainly how they cook. We were not taken to any kitchen where cooking could be seen closely.
The tour guide also told us that we selected the wrong tout but actually this tour is supposed to be about Malay food as the name says.
The worst part was that tour started at 6pm and finished at 7.20 while it was supposed to be two hours. We were offered to taste three samples from street vendors.
I booked the tour with two children 11 and 15. Not enjoyed at all. Not recommended if you want to learn about Malaysian food. ...Read more
