Despite the torrential rain, our guide June made the trip extremely pleasant. He was extremely helpful and friendly. I loved this tour because it covers the highlights of Kyoto, including the Bamboo forest (which a lot of tours don’t). I still had to take another half day tour to see Nijo castle and The imperial palace, which are not included in this one. Hopefully that would save you some time on your research.
Very Good experience.
Our Guide June was very kind and understanding. He always tried to share information of different places which were not part of one day trip.
Though it was very hot but trip was awesome.
Thanks Japan Panoramic Tours
Japan Panoramic Tours did a good job with this tour, it's definitely a big day! Initially the bus air con wasn't working, and on a 37deg day that was a nightmare, but they sorted a replacement bus after our first stop. They also gave us a free ice cream voucher and a bottle of water to help us cool down! Would have appreciated more than 5mins at the bamboo forest but otherwise a good way of seeing all the big sights without having to coordinate for ourselves. Cheers!!
Easy going, paced well even for older tourist. Native English speaking guide. The lunch was OK, place was very hot, uncomfortable at times. Lots to see, wish we had spent more time at the Forest. We went on a Monday and the tour did not include the historic former palace as it is closed on Mondays, pick any other day. Worth the cost and time

Joined this tour with my husband along with our 4 yr old son, I would say that people who intend to join this tour with small children bring a carrier with you since there is a lot of walking climbing up the stairs, the little ones will get tired. The sights we visited were great and all interesting as it was greatly important in learning about the history and culture of Kyoto. If you have limited time this is a great tour to see a glimpse of these important places, but if you want to explore further like the 1000 Torii gates and Bamboo forest, this tour is not suited for that. The tour ended with a visit to the Golden pavilion, which in my opinion was majestic. I was simply perfect it embodied the very definition of zen. If you are interested in Japanese gardens this is a great tour to join. Our guide Jun, was relatively young and new with being a tour guide, but he tried his best with sharing facts and stories and taking care of a large group of tourists.
Fantastic day trip, definitely recommend
This was a wonderful tour -- hit so many amazing places of interest. Our guide JUNEI was exceptional - fluent, approachable, lots of good information and fun. Don't hesitate to book this tour. But request JUNEI!
This is a great tour if you have limited time in Kyoto. Our tour guide was good, the bus they use is modern and confortable, good lunch if you choose the lunch option.
Our guides were knowledgable, flexible, and fun. This is a great way to see the major sights in Kyoto.
Highly recommended especially when you have little time in Kyoto and wanted to tour lots of places in just a day.
