These guys were amazing! Super friendly and gave us a wonderful tour.
On the way they explained everything we were seeing and even asked us if we wanted to go to any particular place. They even offered us an ice-cream each which was just perfect given the day was so hot at the start of the journey.
All perfect, highly recommended.
We took the 2 hour tour.

Our one hour Rickshaw tour around the Arayshiyama area was a one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Our drivers Suguru and Kyotaro were both friendly, helpful and informative and made sure our trip was all that we were expecting. They took photos for us in great locations during the tour and managed to communicate well with us along the way with interesting pieces of information. These guys are awesome! We were fortunate to have a beautiful sunny day for our tour as well which really added to an all round great experience.

The tour was amazing! It's the best way to see the entire area and save your legs if you've been walking for days. The photos the guide took were well timed and beautiful!

One of the best thing we've done for our trip in Kyoto. Our guide Kento-san was very knowledgeable and full of humor through out our rickshaw guide. We will definitely request him again if we ever visit Kyoto again for another rickshaw tour.

The Rickshaw ride was terrific. My only hesitation was that with the amount of weight two adults and the windiness of the roads it was very difficult for the driver. I would suggest 1 adult on rickshaw. This is a marvellous way to see things. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Drivers were very informative.

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Kyoto! Our guide was fun, energetic and personable. He took many pictures of my husband and me on the rickshaw that we will treasure for years to come. Thank you! :

We were absolutely thrilled with our rickshaw experience with Masa. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We wondered if 2hours would be too long but after a hard day of foot slogging seeing the sights it was wonderful to be shown the beautiful evening sights of Kyoto in style. Love love loved every minute. Thanks Masa You're the best !!

This rickshaw tour was such a great way to explore the Arashiyama district. Our rickshaw driver Mayu was just lovely and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour, it is such a great way to experience the local area and the bamboo forest.

A friend and I were visiting Japan and decided to check out this rickshaw ride in Kyoto. We had never ridden an old fashion rickshaw and figured such a ride would at the very least make for a great and humorous story. Based off a friend's recommendation, we chose the Arashiyama tour on the west side of Kyoto. To begin, the tour was incredibly beautiful. Bamboo forests, cherry blossoms, ancient temples and a scenic river line the entire route. The tour lasted a little bit over 2 hours, which seems long, but flew by given all we saw, learned, and laughed about with our guide. Secondly, our guide was great. He spoke English pretty well and had great stories and banter--he use to be a tank driver in the Japanese army and was also a sous chef in Toronto. He also recommended food in the area, which we took him up on and had a dinner that was another highlight of our trip. And of course knew the history behind the area we were touring very well. The three of us laughed and joked quite a bit the whole time. Finally, they took most hilarious pictures of our whole trip. The also met us at the train station, which was nice given that we didn't know Kyoto particularly well.

This was a really fun thing to do in Kyoto. At first we felt really bad for the poor guy who had to pull us along but he was really lovely and spoke about Kyoto with pride so it made me feel better!

Our guide could speak English really well and was very friendly throughout the tour taking time to explain things to us and share some laughs. We did the 30 mins only and it felt like a good amount of time although it probably would've been cool to go a bit longer.

Overall a fun activity but mostly a really great tour guide who made the experience extra fun..I forget his name but he deserves a raise!

We did both the Tokyo and the Kyoto Rickshaw Tours and this one was not as informative. Because it is so hilly in the area where you go in Kyoto, they spend all the time getting us the hills and have fewer stops and conversations on what you are seeing. On the other hand, the area was interesting and we did actually see a Geisha in the early evening time that we took the tour.
