Meet your guide and group at the Kyoto Station at 9am, located at 31 Nishisannno-cho, Higashi-kujo, Minami-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto. Look for your guide at the Hachijyo Exit parking lot.
Board the bus and make yourself comfortable for a day of exploring the off-the-beaten-path locations that offer excellent cherry blossom viewings. These spots are less crowded than the popular downtown spots, where many locals and travelers gather for the short season of ohanami, or cherry blossom viewing. Locations include the Kyoto Botanical Gardens, one of the oldest public botanical gardens in Japan and home to 500 cherry blossom trees. Iwakura Jissoin is an historical temple at the foot of Mt. Hiei, surrounded by a lovely garden. Takaragaike Park is surrounded by a natural forest, with Takaragaike Pond located in the center.
Midday, pause for lunch; included choices are tonkatsu or tempura. Return to the Kyoto Station for drop-off at the end of the day.
