Booking was pretty...

Booking was pretty straight forward and good to see options of different activities we can select from.
Waterfall experience
Krisztina_H, Mar 2023
Beautiful location, absolutely worth a visit. We could enter immediately and head to the waterfalls. The water is crystal clear, but cold! :)
Great waterfall
Hong_N, Mar 2023
Great place to visit. Viator's price was the same as if you would pay at the entrance - why not go with Viator for the advantage of not having to wait in line to pay for the tickets the day off. To be honest, we were there the first week of March, and the ticket line was not long at all
Leg pain for days but well worth the hike!
Michael_A, Feb 2023
The waterfall is a stunning example of the power of nature! So much water, hitting with such force of impact! The hike down the stairs is no joke. We had to go quickly because we arrived so late in the day after a long drive from San Jose. Our legs were shaking when we go to the falls, making the walk over the rocks to get to the water even more challenging. But it was all worth the price of admission and more! We had an overcast day and the water was freezing cold but I can imagine on a sunny day, it would be perfect! Definitely book the tickets ahead of time to avoid the lines. Arriving late we missed the lines so that was one benefit of our schedule.
View from the top is nice, stairs aren't.
Kathleen_G, Feb 2023
If you don't like stairs, don't go to the bottom of the waterfall. It's approximately 500 steps straight up.

Well worth ur morning to do this trip. I’m not in very good physical shape so I was worried about the stairs. It really wasn’t a big issue. Plenty of places to stop along the way. Everyone was stopping so it was no big deal to join them;)
Undeniably one of the best waterfalls in Costa Rica
Jennifer_T, Nov 2022
It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I was blown away by how beautiful the waterfalls were, even though we couldn't swim due to the current. The entire area is well maintained, easy to navigate, and the staff is knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Costa Rica.

Hike to the Waterfall, it's beautiful! Would recommend!
Robin_V, Jun 2022
The waterfall is so beautiful & well worth the hike down to see it. There are MANY stairs, over 500 but wasn't too bad at all. We got our workout in for the day.
I would recommend hiking down to the waterfall, we really enjoyed it & got some great family time & photos there!
Arrived 3:45 pm, just...
Merlin_C, May 2022
Arrived 3:45 pm, just started to rain, was pouring so hard when we arrived falls, had falls to ourselves with one other couple, was amazing to be at popular spot alone, personally would only return on the rain and we swam 40 min and were back intime for Beer at the top 5pm
Wonderful and affordable experience

We bought the “skip-the-line” pass but honestly we didn’t need it - perhaps due to the timing of when we went (around 12pm). The waterfall was beautiful and even though there were quite a number of people there everyone was respectful and allowed others room for pictures/swimming. I will say the warnings are legit - it is tiring climbing back up those stairs but they are kind enough to put seating at different points if you need to stop for a breather.

Beautiful waterfall
Tomoko_T, Mar 2022
Very beautiful waterfall with very clear water that you can see
fish swimming. It's definitely worth a visit but there it's a very long staircase to get there though so coming back up can be a little tough.

the waterfall is amazing but the line really isn't that long, this doesn't really save you much time

Review for July/August visit low...
JOSHUA H, Aug 2017
Review for July/August visit low season. The waterfall is absolutely gorgeous! The water is clean and not too cold, as well. There is only a small area for people to wade in. It is very rocky, so bring water shoes to protect your feet. The walk to and from the waterfall is very well maintained. It is, however, very steep and has a million steps. I am in good shape and still had to stop to take catch my breath on the way back up. Parking is free but very limited. The tour buses seem to have priority. Since the lot is so small, it is fairly safe, as it is near the entrance. We didn't see any signs pointing to the waterfall on the drive up, but noticed that if you followed the rainforest coffee tour signs, off of the main highway, it essentially lead you to the waterfall. We went during the low season on a Monday and it was relatively full. I can't imagine how packed it must be during the high season for such a small place! We only spent an hour at the waterfall because of all the people. It's beautiful and fun to see, though. And, a great deal for the price of the admission. You don't need the guides. Just buy your ticket and enjoy the steps up and down, it's about two football fields worth of steps in each direction. Bring bug spray, some snacks, and enjoy!
Total überlaufen. Natur...
