Lanzarote Grand Tour with Timanfaya and Jameos del Agua

Once in a lifetime grand tour with an enthusiastic and polite tour guide. Lovely driver. Good timings. Great photo stops. Great value for money. Thoroughly enjoyable tour lasting 9 hours!

I am going to be completely honest here. This tour…. you NEED to book it. I hate tours normally, because I always feel like just another tourist. However, this one in specific is the only one I’ve ever enjoyed. Michael (tour guide) and Charlie (bus driver) were both extremely friendly. Michael is super informative but doesn’t over explain (which I’ve found on a lot of tours in the past). He gives you what you truly need to know. He is fluent in both Spanish and English, and I loved his sense of humor. Always cracking jokes but never the ones where you have to fake laugh. My partner and I were unable to rent a car so we were holed up wondering how we’d see the beauty of the island. Alas! This tour covers everything you truly need to see and much more! As someone who would need to pay $300 a person for a tour of similar length and information where I live, this tour is soooooo worth the money. I discovered through this tour, that Lanzarote is hands down the coolest Canary Island. If I had a million dollars I would easily donate half of it to Charlie and Michael, as they are some of the nicest and smiliest people I’ve ever met. They truly made our trip in Lanzarote such a wonderful experience. If you are questioning whether to book this tour, I’m telling you right now, DO IT!! You won’t regret it one bit. Coming from a girl who HATES tours, this is the best value for money tour you will ever find. Thank you to Michael and Charlie for such a great experience!

We never got picked up. Can’t review something if they don’t come and get us. Paid for weeks ago. No surprise to be ignored for refund. I will never use Viator again…

My tour guide was Micheal and the pick up location was very close to my resort. Pick up was on time. Absolutely outstanding tour. Micheal has a vast Knowledge about Lanzarote’s incredible history. He was also a great sense of humour. It is definitely a must for 1st timers in Lanzarote.

Michael the tour guide and Martin, the driver, were brilliant. Michael speaks fluent English and Spanish. He was knowledgable and funny. I went with my husband and 2.5 year old son. Pick up is a little long but the island is so small that once you’re off, first stop is about 10 mins away. I didn’t use the pram once while on tour, very minimal walking required on all of the sights. I even wore white fabric converses and it didn’t get dirty (couldn’t say the same about gran canary!) All the main tourist attractions in one day with great coffee and decent buffet food (daal was amazing). The caves were seriously stunning and all the attractions needs to be seen in real life - the pictures really don’t do any justice. Camel ride was 6 euros and 5 euros for one picture (not worth the picture, took one shot and it was an awful picture). Camel ride is good if you’ve never been. Some attractions I wish we had more time as it was busy (coffee at mirador, lunch etc) and it takes us slightly longer to do everything because of our toddler! Nonetheless, amazing trip. Highly recommend especially for families with young children.

The pickup was bang on time. (I was impressed by how we were emailed with the time soon after booking.) The driver, Melvin, was brilliant especially going through the lava fields and the Guide, Michael was excellent. The whole trip was very efficiently organised.
