We'll meet at the queue to enter Balandra at 7:40 am. Since only a certain amount of people are allowed in at 8 am, we need to get on line in time in order to be allowed in. Your guides will be there in a Honda Pilot with kayaks tied on top.

If you’re looking for the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation in La Paz, I cannot recommend this excursion enough! My day started with a breathtaking excursion at Playa Balandra and kayaking into the mangroves Balandra is often described as one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico. Alejandro and Alberto were our guides, and they were absolutely incredible. From the moment we hit the water in our kayaks, Alberto made sure we felt safe and comfortable while sharing fascinating insights about the area. The turquoise water was so clear you could see every fish swimming beneath you, and the surrounding scenery was like something out of a dream. They even pointed out the iconic mushroom rock, a must-see! After working up an appetite on the water, some people went on with an amazing hike but we headed to Telecote Beach for a ceviche lunch and beautiful ocean views. Let me just say—this was the freshest, most delicious ceviche I’ve ever had and the most turquoise clear ices waters I have ever seen. A big thank you to Alejandro and Alberto for making this such a memorable experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

HIGHLY recommend. I have nothing negative to say about this breathtaking and memorable day. Felipe and Sergio were incredibly friendly, organized, knowledgeable and professional while having fun. This trip has it all! Bring plenty of water, wear good shoes that can get wet, and be ready for an adventure. You will not regret it. We did it with our two teenage kids and they absolutely loved the whole day as well. We have traveled the world, and this is easily top five excursions we have ever done.

This was an awesome adventure. I would highly recommend this experience. Our group of four had a private tour the entire day. It was the perfect combination of relaxation, adventure, and learning about the native plants and animals. Our guides, Mateo and Felipe were extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife that we saw. Felipe took the time to point out all of the interesting life in the tidepools along our hike. The views on the hike were breathtaking. The kayaking was peaceful and we saw a variety of fish at the snorkel site. At the conclusion of our adventure, our guides set up a tent for shade and provided us with a delicious authentic lunch of ceviche. You will not be disappointed with this experience.

Shoutout to Alberto and Checo! The day started with kayaking through the beautiful mangroves, followed by snorkeling in the bay and hiking up to take in the stunning views. We ended the day at Tecolote Beach for lunch. Alberto and Checo were incredibly knowledgeable, super cool, and, most importantly, amazing guides! The small size group makes every minute of the experience a quality time!

Everything was perfect! Amazing day, great guides and small groups. Everything was organized very well, the food is great and you get a lot of knowledge about the area and animals. It is organized in a very conscious way, they make sure that everything is in harmony with nature and that you act in a sustainable way. Highly recommended and for sure the best tour operator in this area.

The tour is very well organized. They even have facility to pick you up and drop you back from Ball Andra for an extra cost (I highly recommend this if you are not driving as Uber doesn’t work at Ballandra - no signal). I loved the kayaking in the mangroves and then later snorkeling in the reef. Followed by that we went on a hike and ended at a beach and had lunch there. The guides were amazing (Daniel was one, and I forgot the name of another).

My husband and I loved this tour. We love to relax but have a hard time sitting on a beach for extended periods of time, and this was perfect for us. We loved seeing all the marine life and biodiversity via kayak/snorkel. The hike rewarded us with incredible views and some of the best ceviche we’ve ever had. Our guides were kind, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about wildlife and the environment, which we really appreciated. We will be back!

Best experience me and my partner have had so far, it being our first time in la Paz we didn’t know what to expect. But this booking was exceptional. Me personally I never really liked having tour guides because the experience is usually rather awkward, but Mateo and Sergio made it feel like it was just another day which made it comfortable. They’re informed with every piece of that land and gave us such a good experience due to their knowledge, love and passion for balandra. Thank you Mateo and Sergio for treating us like family.

Everything about this tour is phenomenal and would highly recommend. At first I was concerned about not having a 'beach day' or sunning along Balandra because we were leaving the following day, BUT that all changed when we got started. You get to experience Balandra beyond the beautiful beach by immersing yourself with the landscape around you. From kayaking in the waters just off shore Balandra, to navigating through the Mangroves (esp manglares), to snorkeling with fishes, to hiking to Tecolote, you leave feeling accomplished and positive. Our guides, Matteo and Felipe, were superb and knowledgeable about virtually everything, which enhanced our experience even more - they had a great vibe, and we loved it! The other great thing is this was a small group (6 people). Btw...It was a hot day when went, so be sure to wear sunscreen and long sleeved SPF clothing if possible. Flip flops won't cut it for the hiking portion, so Tevas, running shoes will work fine (they'll get wet, but will dry off). The last stop is ceviche on the beach in Tecolote, expertly prepared! My partner and I went to the restaurant/bar next to the beach set up afterwards for a couple beers and just chilled for a bit and talked about all the things we did during this experience. Glad we were able to do this during our visit!

This is a great day out which I can highly recommend. Balandra is a magical place, so beautiful. We loved the whole experience of kayaking in the mangroves followed by snorkelling. The hike to Tecolote was spectacular followed by a lovely cerviche lunch on the beach. Mateo and Sergio were wonderful guides and great fun to be with.

Do not miss this excellent trio!!!

MUST DO! You can go to La Balandra without a guide but why bother! The experience is so so so so much richer on this trip! Kayak the mangroves at Balandra Birdwatch from the Kayak Snorkel from the Kayak Hike the beach from Balandra to Telocote Enjoy a delicious (so tasty) ceviche lunch at Tecolote Chill at Tecolote Our guides were excellent, informative and easy to find! They bring all the equipment so you just need a water bottle, sunscreen and good beach hike shoes (like a Teva or Merrell) Do follow their advice to get to the line for Balandra at 745. It really does fill up amd theres only one way in so you cant miss the guides. Tour lasted about 8 to 3 which gave us the late afternoon and night back in La Paz. Sooooo glad we did this.

This tour was absolutely amazing!! Balandra Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited. First, Sergio took us out kayaking. I have been on tours kayaking before, but I was never given proper instructions until Sergio....thank you! The weather was perfect, virtually no wind, which made kayaking easier, especially through the mangroves....I felt like a pro! We opted out of snorkeling...kind of freaks me out, so we visited some of the other beaches and Sergio became our photographer! After that, we got ready for our hike with Luis Felipe aka Ramon lol. The hike is about 3 miles and I would say relatively easy depending on your level of fitness. Luis Felipe was an awesome guide and funny too! He was very knowledgeable about everything to do with biology. We came across a couple of tiny creatures he spotted...how, no idea! You could tell by his excitement that he loves his job. After the hike we arrived at Tecolote Beach and enjoyed the best ceviche I have ever had in my life! Complements to The Chef! Also, thank you to Karen who promptly responded to any questions I had. MEXICO TRAVEL ADVENTURE is the best!!

Felipe and Sergio are outstanding guides with vast knowledge of marine life. They are also excellent teachers. The mangroves are fascinating. We saw many pelicans only a few feet from us while snorkeling. During the hike, the views were spectacular. The ceviche lunch on the beach was delicious. Thank you for this unforgettable day.

Kayaking in the mangroves was so special seeing all the birds. Snorkeling was also fantastic. The hike along the beach and rocks was so entertaining with all the different formations and phenomenal vistas and views. But the best part was our guides, Lorisa and Mateao and all the information and love they shared for this special place. No wait, maybe the best part was the ceviche picnic at the shore!
