Discover the cultural treasures of Bolivia’s capital city on a 3-hour walking tour of La Paz. Alongside your guide, you’ll learn of the legends and history of the unique city as you visit prominent monuments. Admire the regal façade of the Presidential Palace, absorb the charm of San Francisco Church and marvel at La Paz Cathedral. Browse the bizarre products of the Witches Market and learn of the infamous San Pedro prison in San Pedro Square. Receive personalized attention from your guide on this small-group tour, limited to 15 people.
After selecting a departure time to suit your schedule, you’ll greet your guide at a central La Paz spot and embark on a comprehensive sightseeing tour. At the beautiful San Francisco Church, you’ll receive an introduction to the culture and history of Bolivia’s capital city.
Then, visit the Witches Market to browse stalls replete with oddities such as dried frogs, dead snakes and potions. At Plaza Murillo — the city’s central square — you’ll admire La Paz Cathedral and the Presidential Palace while listening to history-rich commentary.
Conclude your 3-hour tour at a quaint coffee shop on Jaen Street — hailed as the most beautiful street in La Paz — and opt to purchase beer and liquor made from quinoa and coca before you bid your guide and small group farewell.
Fantastic tour and a fantastic guide Kari! You will learn a lot about La Paz, its history, daily life, and all other aspects you might want to ask in those 3 hours on your walking tour through La Paz. It was our first tour since we arrived in Bolivia, and at the end of our 10-day stay, we took another tour offered by the same company - Cable car tour of La Paz with Valeria a fantastic and very knowledgeable guide. Those two tours complement each other in a way that you feel that you really start to know this interesting and beautiful city. Taking these tours is so much more valuable in comparison to reading a particular brochure or a tourist book. You see and learn all through the eyes of real La Paz citizens who love their country, understand the past and give you a personal touch of their town. 3 hours per each tour pass like a breeze! Highly recommended.
Great tour. It provided incredible insight and history into the city our guide's knowledge was very impressive.
Very informative. Jorge spoke excellent English and guided us from San Francisco Plaza to the Witches market, San Pedro prison, Plaza Murillo, where all the government buildings are located and Calle Jaen. Jorge was very knowledgeable about Bolivian history, culture and traditions. We particularly enjoyed hearing about the unique San Pedro prison.
We finished up at Loki hostel where we made and drank a Bolivian cocktail.
I would definitely recommend this walking tour to any visitors to La Paz.

Really good, nice guide, excellent Englysh
The guide was superb, perfect English, very interesting and I really felt we had a proper slice of La Paz, packing in a lot in a short time but without feeling rushed or tired - in fact, I felt energised by the tour. I'm only sad I got sick in the night and couldn't do the cable car tour today. Please do congratulate your guide for the tour yesterday.
