At a prearranged meeting point, greet your guide and small group in the evening and begin your food tour of La Paz. Spend a few moments chatting about the foods you wish to try, and any dietary requirements, and then venture to gastronomic spots recommended by your guide.
From street food stalls, you’ll sample delicacies such as papas rellenas (stuffed potatoes) and salteñas (pastry cases filled with meat, vegetables, eggs and olives). Opt to enjoy classic Bolivian dishes such as Pique a lo Macho (a spicy meat feast) and tender chicken.
Bolivia is famed for its chocolate so ensure you pleasure your palate with samples before trying beer made from two of Bolivia’s most plentiful products, beer and coca leaves.
After three hours of exploration, bid your guide farewell.
