Misleading Tour Package
This deal is misleading. It's run by a third party company that offers a bus ride to/from the Antelope Canyon but the tour of the canyon itself is led by the Navajo Nation. If it weren't for the incredible experience I had with the Navajo Nation, I would be giving the whole review a 0. Firstly, the bus ride (4 hours each way) was unpleasant as the driver of the vehicle was reckless (often speeding and going into oncoming lanes) and the bus itself had no A/C so a lot of us were sweating in the heat with no circulation for the entire ride. I could tolerate it but there were a lot of senior citizens that could not and nothing was done to help make sure they were okay. Secondly, we were told there were not a lot of food options in town on the lunch break so we were duped into paying the bus operator for the buffet lunch that they had arranged for our group. When we arrived in town, the buffet turned out to be a small family-owned restaurant (with terrible food) and to our surprise there A LOT of fast food options in the area. Why is this an issue? We felt pressured to choose their buffet option and pay the bus operator in cash ahead of the meal without any proper explanation. Finally, the operator had the audacity to text me the next day and tell me that I didn't pay her for the buffet (even though my group and I did) and she wanted to collect the money in Vegas (even though the tour was done). The entire bus operation was not professionally run in the slightest and for anyone expecting a relaxing day of exploring the canyons, expect a chaotic and often confusing tour. The only saving grace was the REAL ANTELOPE TOUR that was run by the Navajo Nation and was well-organized and educational. For anyone trying to visit, I would highly recommend doing the drive yourself and going to the Navajo tour on your own. Don't spend your money on this deal.
Response from Host
Dear Customer, We are sorry to know that you are not 100% satisfied with your experiences on the tour. We will surely work on the feedback and will make sure it does not happen again. Regarding the meal stop, tour guides try to arrange stops which are less crowded, so everyone on the tour gets a good time to have meals and are not rushed. As travel distance to antelope canyon is 4 hours each way from Las Vegas. Regarding the Antelope Canyon Guided tour. These guided tours have to be taken by the Navajo Tour Guide and no one is allowed to even enter inside the canyon without Navajo Guide. That is the policy of the local Navajo authorities who manage the Antelope Canyon. We tie up with Local Navajo Authorities to arrange guided tours for our customer along with transportation to and from Las Vegas and our tour also includes a visit to Horseshoe Bend. We have tried our very best to explain how this tour is operated. Please reach out to us if you have any further questions. Thank You!
Good tour!
Good tour with amazing landscapes, only shortfall is that inside the antelope canyon everything is very fast, but that doesn't depend on viator but the guides. It is recommended!
We waited at the designated area outside the Luxor from 5:20 to 7:30 (the pickup was scheduled for 5:30), but the bus never showed up! :( While waiting I called the number on the voucher and was on hold for 1h15min, never got to speach to a human. I called Viator who said this was non refoundable. They were supposed to contact the company and get back to us, but haven’t yet. I tried to reach the i++travel company by their web site which is only in Chinese.
