5 star rating: Highly Recommended August 2017

This was an amazing trip! We were up high in the mountains and down in the valley below sea level all in the same day. Our tour guide was extremely well versed in the history of Death Valley and he shared some really cool anecdotes throughout the day long trip. Up high in the mountain it was about 95F with a breeze that felt like a hair dryer, while in the valley it was 112F with not much air movement. We were going through water like crazy and our tour guide was well stocked with it! Even though we brought our water 3/4 of a gallon for 2 of us we finished it about halfway through the tour. Can't stress enough how important it is to bring plenty of water for a tour through the desert too much is never enough! Our guide, Mark, stopped at several different spots throughout Death Valley park so that we could enjoy the scenery and then appreciate the cool inside of the bus! The mountains and valleys in the desert are so beautiful in their own way, much different from the mountains and valleys at our home on the east coast. All in all it was a wonderful tour and I would highly recommend it.
