Matt was an incredible guide. Very knowledgeable and easy going. If you’ve never kayaked he helps show you the ropes. And if you happen to fall out like I did, he’ll get you back in. I highly suggest this tour!
Matthew was great. He was very nice , supportive and knowledgeable. Everything was setup in advance and planned, they provided healthy snacks, water etc.. Matthew was with us all the time, explained everything and made it a very nice experience for us, he was nice to take pictures of each group very patiently. Could not be better than this. Thank you!
Hello Navid, Thanks for choosing River Dogz and it was a pleasure meeting you both :)
I look forward to having you guys another adventure next time you are back out in Las Vegas . Have a amazing year !
Our guide Daney was super sweet, knowledgeable, and experienced. She picked us up from the hotel and took us and a few other passengers to Willow beach about 50 minutes away from the strip for our kayak tour. The area was so beautiful, I never knew just a short drive away was such an awesome place, I couldn't take enough pictures, everything was breathtaking. The kayaks were well maintained, I like the one with rudders, it made turning super easy. All of the guides that were on the river with us were really nice, no one rushed us through the tour, everyone went at their own pace and enjoyed the day. The cave itself is a little small for big groups but it was still really pretty. I’d say the only down side is waiting for them to load and unload but I didn’t mind much, it gave us time to get a burger at the marina grill after the tour, the burger was pretty tasty too. I don’t think I would recommend this for kids under 14, but great for families, couples, friends, even a solo trip. I’m going to try the full day tour next time, Daney told us about that route and it sounds like a must do. Loved spending some time in nature, then coming back to Vegas for some nightlife, great day!
This was such a great trip and well worth every penny. They even were able to accommodate adding an extra last minute when we had one more person to join. Communication with river dogz was great too and they got back to me immediately and even at night when I had more questions. Our tour guide Andrea was so great. She took amazing pictures for us, provided so much great information about the thinks we saw, and was a great kayak instructor. We got to see so many wonderful things and learned so much. Even my friend who had never been in a kayak really enjoyed it and felt comfortable. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone! Andrea definitely made the trip great and gave us so many great memories. Can't wait to do this trip and other ones from river dogz again!
Firstly thank you very much to Reid for making our day as enjoyable as possible, he was a very knowledgeable guide and made us feel comfortable right from the start of the trip.
It was a quick drive to the Colorado river from the Vegas Strip and a relatively small group with us on the tour.
The sites are amazing, we got to see turtles, big horn sheep and eagles.
The river itself was freezing, too cold to swim as much as I would've liked it, I just couldn't brave it.
The water is picturesque completely clear and unpolluted (a lot different to here in London)
Make sure you bring extra sun cream as the one thing I really struggled with was the amount I was getting burnt, also be prepared for a lot of paddling. I know it's only a half day but it really does take it's toll on your arms!
Overall the experience was incredible and I would recommend to anyone thinking about trying it!
Such a fun trip down the river! The water is gorgeous and the views amazing! Ask the guide to go over some basic oar usage, but they are very patient and incredibly flexible working with the person's ability and the schedule.
