What To Expect

This Grand Canyon experience begins with a Las Vegas hotel pickup en route to Henderson Executive Airport just south of the city.

After boarding your helicopter, the scenic flight passes over sites like Hoover Dam, a modern marvel of engineering; the aqua waters and sandstone shorelines of Lake Mead and Fortification Hill, an extinct volcano before soaring along the winding path of the mighty Colorado River, into the incredible landscape of the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

Upon landing at the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, enjoy hours exploring the various overlooks and highlights in the area. Visit Eagle Point, home of the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a glass walkway nearly 4,000 feet above the floor of the canyon. Upgrade for a ticket to experience the breathtaking view from this unique vantage point.

Then at Guano Point, see the Grand Canyon up close from the top of an old Guano Mine. Hike the side trail to the mine or go up and over the rocky hill to see the incredible view from what feels like the top of the world.

On the return trip, enjoy more of the sights and sounds from the sky before a final hotel drop-off.

There is a maximum capacity of seven people per helicopter, plus the pilot.

Please note: Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years of age and older must present a photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

Great experience, pilot...

Great experience, pilot was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Time at the Canyon was perfect and allowed us to fully enjoy the wonder of the Grand Canyon
Awesome Experience not to be missed !!!
Gary_H, Aug 2022
The whole experience from hotel pickup to drop off was seemless. Fantastically well organised and exceptional customer service. We booked the optional skywalk which unfortunately was closed when we arrived due to thunder storms. No problem. The team at Maverick gave a full refund without me even having to ask. Our pilot Ben was an absolute legend. We felt incredibly safe in his hands and he couldn’t help us enough. This was by far an away the highlight of our stay in Vegas. Cannot recommend this tour and Maverick Helicopters in particular enough. FANTASTIC !!

There is no better way to see the Grand Canyon then by helicopter. Those who decide to use another way, will never realize what they’ve missed out on. This is not something to put a price tag on.

This was the first helicopter ride for most of us and Tanner, our pilot, made us feel very comfortable and at ease. He pointed out several points of interest on the flight, and answered any we had.

This was the best experience to see the Grand Canyon for the first time. We had excellent conditions for flying and out pilot, Travis, was awesome. I highly recommend taking the tour. We chose to not go out on the glass walkway because they don't allow pictures to be taken. But the overall experience was totally worth the money.

False advertising...explained
Jeremy_M, Jan 2022
We were anticipating a tour to the basin and the "optional" skywalk. The other couples on our flight were also. Ended up paying an add'l $370 on top of $525/ea to get what we wanted. Viator charges almost $100 more than direct with Maverick. Ripoff. The tour was great. Viator, nope!

The ride and views from the helicopter were amazing. Our pilot Chris was awesome as well. If doing skywalk, do it first. Once the bus tours show up , the line for skywalk becomes super long and it moves very slowly.
Randall_S, Jul 2021
Amazing a must never doing a bus tour again this the best our pilot was amazing the views are just out of this world

A wonderful experience

The landscape is breathtaking. The ride in the helicopter was great. We descendent to the bottom of the canyon and it was a unique experience. After we went to the Skywalk and I wish we had more time to enjoy the rest of the things the Indian Reserve has to offer, that is why I am only giving 4 stars. Everything was really, really great.
