We really enjoyed our tour , was a long drive but were kept entertained with movies and some historical facts on the area along the way. Decent lunch was provided and ample time to explore. Would definitely recommend.

The view from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is breathtaking. It is a long basically non-scenic drive bit totally worth every minute to reach one of the seven wonders of the world. If you get a chance to walk the trail, please be sure to take advantage of the opportunity because every view is different and the pathways around the canyon are well designed.

This trip was amazing. Our bus driver/tour guide Devin was great. I love how he made everything clear to how the trip was going to be laid out. He was on time and made sure we were on time as well which made for a great trip since we had a drive from Vegas to Arizona for the grand canyon. The bus was clean and rode smooth like floating on air. We watched movies to past time. I recommend this trip for anyone. We had reasonable stops for rest, snacks, lunch, etc. We saw the Hoover Dam on the way back from Grand Canyon. It was beautiful at night. Thanks from the Briscoes

Just back from Vegas and took this trip. It was a long day but well worth the time. We started off on time at 7:30 am and was at the Grand Canyon South Rim at around 12:30 pm. There was one stop at the Hoover Dam about 30 to 40 minutes so you can walk up and take some pictures of the Hoover and read some of the history on the way up or down. Our bus driver took the time to slow down the bus so that people that could not hike up to see the Hoover Dam could see the dam as we cross the Colorado River on our way to the Grand Canyon. We had a short stop at a 5 star restaurant McDonalds for some breakfast. Lunch was supplied and there was a variety of choices at the Grand Canyon Attraction Centre. We took in the iMax experience at the visitor centre extra cost. There were two stops to view the Grand Canyon both lasting about an hour so you can hike about 20 - 25 minutes and take all the pictures. On the way back we had to stop for a short break and because it was dark out, our driver slowed down when he got to the Hoover Dam again so that we could take pictures of the Dam with the lights on. Our driver did not give us his name but he was bald and had an accent. He was excellent in getting us there and back and we had a few laughs both ways as it was quite a trek. We commend Gray Line on getting everyone back safely but our replacement driver told us it could take up to 3 hours to drop everyone off at their respective pickup locationIt all depends on where people were staying from our bus. We ended up getting off close to our hotel and took a Lyft ride with another couple. Overall a great experience. We would recommend this tour if you don't mind the time commitment started at about 6 am and ended at around 10:30 pm. You get the most spectacular view of the Grand Canyon and some pictures to treasure.

We were staying at the Hard Rock Hotel, and had to walk across to the Alexis to be picked up at 6:15am the bus showed at about 6:30am. From there, we were taken to Grey Line terminal, and divided into south rim tour mine and west rim tour. There is a short presentation an up sell, then you get in line for wrist band and boarding pass. There is a small shop there that sells coffee, pastries, chips, etc. breakfast is not free. We left terminal at about 7:45am. If you can wait, the first stop is at a McDonalds about an hour and a half away in Kingman, AZ the time changes to mountain time, so its 10:30 9:30 Vegas time. Left McDonalds at about 11.

Bus driver was good. Bus tour guide is a recording. They played a really old movie Paul Blart Mall Cop. Free WiFi is limited to one hour. For cell phones, reception was ok. I have Sprint and was on extended LTE once out if Kingman. I have an unlimited plan, so check ahead on that beforehand.

We got to the National Geographic visitors center at about 1pm. There is an IMAX movie up charge, and lunch included, but not the best. For some reason I thought it was going to be a buffet. Its about 2 miles from canyon. Just before arriving there, we dropped off two groups of side tours: helicopter tour, and the pink jeep tour. FYI, the helicopter tour must be short, because they were back on the bus with us after lunch they received box lunches on the bus when they got back.

After lunch, the first stop is Mather Point about 10 minutes away. Theres is rest room there. Spent an hour. The Grand Canyon is definitely worth the trip. It is not what I expected. Your in a forest and walk a trail. You cant see it until you emerge from the trail, and it appears. It is breathtaking, and looking down can sometimes be difficult if you don't like heights.

Next stop is about another10 minutes. The Bright Angel Lodge is really cool. More great views, an old lodge, gift shops, little museum, etc. After an hour, it was back on the bus for trip home. Picked up the people who did the pink Jeep tour at the National Geographic visitor center, and headed out. Left at 5:20pm mountain time. That means 6:20pm in Las Vegas.

Another old movie Scorpion king. Stopped at a subway in Kingman about 7:45pm mountain time again to get a snack and use restroom. The subway is a pit. Before and after the movie, the narrated tour guide provides some trivia. THERE IS NO REAL STOP AT THE HOOVER DAM!!!!

It was a very long day, but it was worth the look.
It is just like every picture you have seen.
Bus driver was a really nice guy, but the trip home was a little frightening as he seemed in a rush and turned somewhat aggressive to the slow drivers on the road. Tailgating, flashing high beams etc

The trip, although very very long day, was great. The views were spectacular and gave a different aspect to the Grand canyon if you compare to the Western rim which is also spectacular. Make sure to take some snacks and drinks with you as only lunch is provided. Looking forward to another trip next year maybe Western rim again and the south after that. Great experience!

For some context, when we arrived for our tour, we upgraded to the VIP package which included the Mercedes Benz limo coach, breakfast i.e. a mini buffet of canned beverages, pastries, fruits, lunch, and a 3rd stop. We were also told that our bus had wifi, which was a big incentive as my partner and I are all about sharing our trip with our friends and family.

Our main complaints were that the seats were still a bit uncomfortable the limo coach pathways were extremely small/snug and the wifi did not work. The wifi issue was very annoying, and when we alerted the driver, he really wasn't much help.

However, overall, our driver got us to and back safely. As all other reviews state, it was an extremely long day, but we would totally recommend upgrading. Not only for the meal perks, but at each stop, our group was efficient because we were small. Given our small tour group, we were always on time and didn't have any stragglers, so it worked out beautifully.

The design of the trip coupled with the 3rd stop meant that we literally saw the Grand Canyon in late morning, afternoon, and at sunset. It was beautiful to capture all the changing colors. We ended our trip sipping hot coco as the sun set on the canyon. It was great!

It was a long trip but worth it. Our guide Ryan was the best ever..Just great! The free lunch at the Park was a total bust. Food was terrible and they were out of most of the hot food. Coffee was old and cool. Please find a other place to eat. This was the reason I couldn't give 5 stars. The views were spectacular but the Canoyn restaurants had the lines so long you couldn't even get a drink.. All and all it was a great trip just bring your own lunch and drinks and hope you get Ryan for the guide!

Tour would've been better if was as promised! The bus was supposed to pickup at 6:15, didn't come until 7! Get to the depot, had to stand in line to check in. They need to make this process faster. Didn't go to visit Hoover Dam, drove by only. Had to switch buses 3rd time to get back to our hotel.

The Grand Canyon is really too far from Las Vegas for a visit to be completed in just one day. We had to endure about 10 hours of bus travel for the privilege of spending 2 hours looking at the canyon. The driver was a pleasant fellow, who worked hard on a difficult project.
If you must visit from Vegas, try and stay overnight.

I am glad that I took this tour. Not much time to Trek along the rim but worth a visit and for those who want to see the Hoover dam, they actually don't stop there in fact they only announce whilst passing by it on the way back and that too at night.

This was a good day overall. Our bus driver Enrique was great - courteous and professional, and very punctual to make sure we made it back in good time. What we didn't like about this tour company is time wasted on logistics. Upon pickup, everyone was brought over to a visitors' centre where we had to listen to up-selling options. I guess this strategy works as several people upgraded on the spot. Then we were reshuffled into different buses before heading out. On the way back after a long day of sitting on the bus, we weren't directly dropped off at our hotel. Instead we were brought back to the same visitors' centre where we were asked to switch buses so a different driver could do hotel drop offs. I understand the reason for the switch is it's too long for one driver to work in one day, but this is the reason I'm giving this tour company 3 stars and not higher. Would recommend finding another provided that doesn't waste so much time on administration and switching buses.

1. We were suppose to have 3 hours on the South Rim, but we only was able to tour 1 hour and 20 minutes because the group of people on the helicopter tour got back to the bus late.

2. There was a group of about 15 young people sitting at the back of the bus who made the trip very uncomfortable and stressful. They were talking loud at the top of their lungs in their foreign language the ENTIRE trip. They were rude and obnoxious. As the driver
/ tour guide was narrating this group was talking over him. So we couldn't hear what was being said. The driver/tour guide had to interrupt and ask the group several times to quiet down so we could hear. The group continued to be loud throughout the trip and getting into an argument with other people on the bus.
To make matters worse the group bought alcohol on the tour and started drinking at one of the tour stops. The bus driver was notified about their drinking. So when we boarded the bus the group proceeded to pass out drinking cups and alcohol. The driver got on the loud speaker and warn them if they had alcohol there was no drinking on the bus. If the driver had not handled that situation things would have got out of hand. Big thanks to our driver/tour guide!

This could have been a really great trip if it had not been for the things mentioned above. Also this is a very long trip, 15 hours total, but it is so worth it. Once we made it to the South Rim we were able to explore on our own. The views are breathtaking!

Not impressed. we didn't even get to see the Hoover Dam, the driver decided to skip it. Instead we just drove pass on our way back to Vegas. In Grand Canyon, we added the pink jeep tour for 99 and they said it gonna take up to another 2 stop points. However, we only had a total of less than 30 minutes of seeing Grand Canyon. The driver only gave us 5 mins to see the Canyon, take a pic and off we go. Would not recommend this tour!

Took trip on 11-8-17. We originally signed up for the large bus tour but upon reaching the departure bus station were told there were VIP seats available for 100 more per person with captain chairs, extra leg room, National Geographic movie, return hour early, and meals. Unfortunately most proved to be not true. The Driver was excellent, the in-trip recording was very interesting. Unfortunately the seats were very small, much smaller than the original bus, my knees would not fit behind seat in front I am 6 ' 2 tall but my wife is 5' 5 tall and her knees also touched front seat back. A gentleman in front of me tried to lay back his chair quickly which about broke my left knee, big bruise from edge of front seat, the right one just escaped into the isle. The gentleman was truly sorry and complained it was suppose to be a luxury van. The breakfast danish, coffee, and juice at the station had to be abandoned because the bus was leaving. The stop to see the dam was a disaster. My wife, who is on oxygen, was not able to do the switch backs up and around the mountain in 20 minutes so was not able to see the dam. We were never told this was an arduous climb which had to be made in 20 minutes. This was a problem for most of the people on the bus. I made it, but had to run up and back. One of the other couples also make it, but they took an extra 30 minutes which made everyone wait for an extra 30 minutes. The meals were very rushed after waiting in line at restaurants and no room to eat on the bus comfortably. The trip to the National Geographic lunch and movie was ok but had to wait for helicopter passengers to return before we could proceed to the canyon. The wait at the airport for helicopter passenger drop off was long because a couple decided they wanted to go on the helicopter and therefore the driver had to wait to see if they could get on to the helicopter. Result got to first stop of Grand Canyon as getting near dark but ok, next two stops were too dark to take good photos, total bust and which was the main reason for the trip. I am still limping from the smashed knee. I would absolutely NOT recommend the VIP tour. They are trying to do to much, unorganized, and accomplishing none well, to many seats were jammed into this Mercedes van, it was very uncomfortable.

I have taken this tour before with a different tour company. I would never take it again with Gray Line. They were late picking everyone up, made us listen to a sales speech before we started, skipped Hoover dam because we didn't have time, rushed us thru a 5.00 lunch and did not provide or make avaialble any water on the bus. At the end of the trip they made us all get off the bus at a hotel and loaded us all on another bus. The bus driver seemed confused as to where drop off hotels were located and it took over an hour and a half to get us back to our hotel. After spending from 6 am to 11.08 pm. On that tour, we actually were at the Canyon for 2 hours. Very exhausting and dissappointing.

I would not recommend a bus tour of the Grand Canyon. We were picked up from the hotel at 5:55am and went to the bus terminal for check-in. The process was efficient but people were also given a sales pitch to upgrade their tour. After check-in we began the long ride to the Grand Canyon. Our bus driver asked us not to use the bathroom didn't want the bus to be smelly and we arrived to the Grand Canyon around 4:30pm made a stop at a fast food restaurant. We had about 45min to an hour at the canyon and then left for the ride home. We made another stop on the way back and arrived at a location around 10:30pm where a row of buses took us to various hotels. This process was disorganized due the drivers not know which hotels they were to drop off passengers.

We purchased the Imax movie and felt it was worth the cost. It provided details and scenes which you will not see on the bus tour. Lunch was okay. I would encourage anyone on the tour to bring snacks/drinks with them. There is Wifi but connection was frequently lost. Lastly our driver was nice bus her English wasn't good, she shared how she missed her kids and this was her 2nd or 3rd day on the job this was further illustrated when she put in and played all of the Home Alone movies...

I plan to do another tour of the Grand Canyon but it will be a private tour. After some research I learned tour buses are only allowed to park in 2 areas whereas smaller vehicles can go to several locations.

Unfortunately, we were VERY disappointed with this trip. Pick was 5:45am, from our hotel, we were then transported to the Garyline hub and after a long line and Grayline trying to up sell the group on their other excursions, we left at 9am. Never stopped at the Hover dam only saw it at night as a fast drive by. Lunch was ok and by the time we made various drop offs for the jeep rides and helicopter rides we finally made it to the Grand Canyon by 2:30pm. We stayed at the first stop for an hour, drove to the second stop, stayed for an hour. We had to leave by 5pm as the shops were closing and it was getting dark. The stop at the McDonalds on the way and the stop at a convenient store on the way back were horrible! So.... all that time 5:45am pick up until 11:30pm drop off, we saw the Grand Canyon for 2 hours and no Hover Dam. During the bus ride, never was any movies played, explanation of our surrounding/sights to see, history of the area, etc. and only saw a very short Grand Canyon movie. We went on 12/26 as a family Christmas present and unfortunately we ended up very disappointed.

Tour has an Hoover DAM stop which seems optional or if the tour operator feels like it can be dropped even. value for money is one third as, we have 3 photo stops, 2 at Grand Canyon and another optional stop at Hoover Dam on availability basis which i came to know only after the trip.

overall, nice arrangements. Friendly Driver, on time and Lunch is fine rice option is better.

If you want to add IMAX, buy online. It will be cheaper, tour operator charges more.
