What You Can Expect

Grand Canyon West Rim Day Trip by Coach, Helicopter and Boat with Optional Skywalk

Grand Canyon West Rim Day Trip by Coach, Helicopter and Boat with Optional Skywalk

Your round-trip journey to the Grand Canyon West Rim begins with hotel pickup on the Las Vegas Strip. Board your climate-controlled motor coach equipped with comfortable reclining seats and video monitors, and relax on the approximate 3.5-hour drive. Watch the scenery slip past through oversized panoramic windows and make a 15-minute photo stop at Hoover Dam over Lake Mead.

On arrival at the Grand Canyon West Rim, board an A-star, six-passenger helicopter with large vista windows for a 5-minute descent approximately 4,000 feet (1,200 meters) to the canyon floor, where you’ll board your pontoon boat.

Enjoy a tranquil 15-minute ride down the mighty Colorado River, gliding past soaring sandstone walls. Then re-board the helicopter for the return flight back up to the rim. Swap your helicopter for a shuttle bus tour to Guano Point for a bird's-eye view of the canyon. You'll also stop at Eagle Point, where you can view the Hualapai Village and browse for jewelry and crafts, before continuing on to the Hualapai Ranch for your cowboy cookout.

After a buffet lunch, board your coach for the return drive to Las Vegas, with drop-off at your hotel.

Grand Canyon Skywalk Upgrade:
Perched 4,000 feet above the Colorado River at the West Rim, the Grand Canyon Skywalk boasts incredible vistas on a glass bridge jutting from the edge of the canyon. Photographs are available to purchase in the gift shop after your walk.

Awesome tour! Getting to tour the Grand Canyon by land, air, and sea was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Loved the tour!

On the way out we had a brief photo stop at the Hoover Dam. We had just enough time to walk up the steep incline to the viewing point, take photographs and get down again. On the way to the canyon the driver related a lot of the history about the dam, the area and Las Vegas its self, very interesting. When we arrived at the canyon we had to get checked in for the helicopter tour and was offered the option to do the Sky Walk for 25 even though we had not previously booked it. The ride along the canyon and slowly dropping to the bottom was very smooth. Our Hualapai guide took us up river then cut the engine and let us drift back down. Clear blue sky, warm sun, majestic cliffs and only the odd gurgle of the water to break the silence. Absolutely wonderful. The flight back along the canyon and back to the top was just as smooth as the decent. The Sky Walk was a bit of a disappointment because they let people walk on it with no shoe covers now and the glass has become scratched. This takes away a bit of the magic because your eyes focus on the scratches before taking in the beauty of the valley below. You have to choose what bits you want to do after the helicopter and boat ride, Hualapai Ranch, Eagle Point and Guano Point because there is not enough time to do them all justice. We can not recommend this tour highly enough.

The tour, the sights, the bus driver and the boat ride are all great . The only down side is the rudeness of the helicopter ground staff

Well worth the money. The helicopter view of the canyon was amazing and the boat ride down the Colorado River was as up close and personal as it gets. The river guide was excellent and well informed. We chose to pass on the Skywalk option. No way it could compare to the views we saw from the chopper and boat. The only downside was the whinny bus driver. Also, the Hoover Dam stop needs to be longer. Twenty minutes is not enough time for a bus load of people to climb the steps up to the bridge, take photos of the dam and get through the restroom line.

This was an amazing day out. On the coach to the Hoover Dam we watched a wonderful video about the building of the dam and then spent approx 30 minutes at the Dam which was so interesting. Then by coach again to the Grand Canyon. Firstly we did our helicopter ride down into the Grand Canyon, we thought we would be terrified but it was really exciting and quite overwhelming. We loved the boat trip on the Colorado River, it was a great opportunity to take in the breathtaking views and our driver, who was a native Indian, was so interesting with stories of the Canyon and his tribe. Then helicopter back to the top, again so exciting and breathtaking views. This really was the highlight of our holiday and worth every penny. We also did the Skywalk which was fun. Cant recommend this trip highly enough, do it, even if you have to borrow the money and make sure you have charged up your smart phone to take plenty of photos and videos.

A must , not the cheapest but we wouldn't have changed anything at all.Not to busy . It was very hot . The views were amazing and will live with us for a long time. The coach driver whilst informative did have a strange third person delivery style, perhaps an American thing!. A must tour with all the extra's

This trip was the best! Managed to fit it all in one day. Very well organised and excellent value for money. Worth every penny and we enjoyed every minute. The people were all lovely and funny and friendly. Couldn't have had a better experience. The helicopter, boat and skywalk were everything I had hoped for and more.
