This trip was a lot of fun. We had been in Vegas for four days for a buyer's convention, and needed a day off the strip. This is a full day trip. The listing may say 12 hours or so, but that is dependent on the traffic in LA. After picking everyone up, we left town around 6 am. Arrived back around 9 pm. Larry was our guide, and he did a wonderful job. Got us through the worst traffic, played movies for us, and had a wealth of knowledge of local landmarks. A long day, but I would never tackle such a trip on my own, so it was worth it. Personally, LA was interesting, but the drive from Vegas to LA was my favorite. Beautiful landscape and mountains. I was not in Iowa anymore!
Fantastic Trip !!! Ely our driver / guide was very knowledgeable , great trip well worth the money
I called the day prior to the trip and arranged pick-up by the company Adventure Photo Tour - was picked up at 6:20 A.M and returned back at 10:00 pm. They were only 10 of us in a beautifully clean Mercedes sprinter van and our driver Larry was most accomodating all day long - making sure there were frequent comfort stops. . He was very knowledgeable had been making this day trip for the past 9 years so certainly knew his way around and was a great driver. The weather was dreary and rained quite hard on the drive to Los Angeles also foggy as we drove through the mountains. He still let us stop at Santa Monica pier for picture ops even though it was quite miserable but let us decide then drove us through Beverly Hills, down Rodeo Drive, Sunset Blvd and finally Hollywood Blvd where we had about 3 hours to walk around. It was a great day out and I would not have missed it even though it would have been nicer had it been a sunny California we visited. It was perfect opportunity to go while we were in Vegas since I wasn't sure if I would ever get there otherwise. This company was very professional.
Good tour with different impressions - very friendly guide.
Our tour guide George Mckay was excellent!!!! It was like you were talking to an old friend you hadn't seen in a while. He was funny, and full of knowledge about the Mojave desert, Las Vegas, and the towns we went through on our way to L.A. We enjoyed our time at Santa Monica Pier although we were told that we were going to be the last tour that would go there because of time constraints sadly. Hollywood was excellent, and once again George was full of stories, and little known facts about the Celebrities that we might know or have heard of. We were given a nice Turkey real Turkey by the way, not that lunch meat crap, or a Ham sandwich for lunch though you need to let them know which lunch you want upon calling to confirm your tour day. If I could recommend anyone to do a Hollywood Tour, I would first tell them to see if they can request George to be their guide before booking. He was just awesome!!!!
Excellent Tour!! Our tour director / driver was very knowledgeable, informative and friendly. He took time to explain all sights and stopped for us to take photos.
Very awesome tour! Our tour guide, George, was extremely knowledgeable of the sites and we learned so much about the desert. There was time given to roam around the Santa Monica Pier and Hollywood Boulevard.
great place to see
This is a very long day of driving which was broken up by good banter from Larry A the driver/guide what a great guy,he was informative and had a good knowledge of film locations on journey to LA and played a fun film going to LA and on return back to hotel which passed the time on less interesting parts of the journey. Food was excellent and plenty of it, bottled water is available so don't go buying any. Being a smaller group and mini van it felt more personal and group in bus were friendly and fun. It went at a pleasant pace we never felt hurried, there is ample stops on the way. We felt time in LA was just right, there was good photo oppertunities along the way, good value for money, would recommend, Larry you were fab.
Thank you Marc for being a great tour guide. This trip met all of my expectations. The food was ok. The time in both locations was just enough. It is a long day but worth it to see Hollywood and Santa Monica.
