Guy Fieri, aka Mark, was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. Mark provided a lot of information about Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam but also the information about the area was really interesting and helped to make every moment of the trip informative and entertaining. The trip itself was great. The views at Lake Mead alone were worth the price of the ticket. Hoover Dam tour was interesting, probably more interesting for an engineer than it was for me. The size of everything is impressive.
a wonderful, relaxing trip, our tour guide Troy was a right laugh, and good looking too !!! , so he was kept occupied by girl groups wanting photos taking. The paddlesteamer was enjoyable and informative, lunch was ok, considering how hard it is to cater on this type of vessle, more a subway lunch, but puts you on, until you get back to Vegas, the Hoover Dam tour was amazing, and the guides could answer any questions which were fired at them, it was very hot though, so take plenty of water with you, usually provided on your tour buses
Hoover Dam is an amazing engineering marvel. The tour was very informative and the Lake Mead Cruise is very relaxing.
This was an awesome tour! We were picked up on time in a coach bus and taken to the boarding station to get the passes for the tour and bused up to the Hoover Dam. Our tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable about the area and the Hoover Dam. You view a 10 minute movie in a theater about the Dam and are taken 500 feet below surface to view the inner-aspects of the Dam very cool! You are then free to explore the Dam, take pictures, visit knowledge center's, etc. The boating portion of our trip was canceled due to mechanical issues we were promptly refunded this portion by Viator so we were bused to a restaurant/casino for lunch which wasn't problematic at all. Not only do you get to site see at the Dam, but also the trip to and from. This is well organized by the company and I highly recommend this deal for anyone interested in a visit. Please do plan about 8 hours for this excursion-we were picked up at 9:00am and dropped off at about 4:30pm. Also, don't forget to tip!
Phenomenal I could not soak up all of God's beauty but I tried. Bus driver was really knowledgeable personable and comical. Tour was wonderful.
The Hoover Dam tour was a great experience, this is a great piece of engineering work that took about five years to construct. The newly bridge over the river spaning 1900 feet is another engineering marvel. The tour of Lake Mead was a pleasant experience. Any visit to Las Vegas should include this wonderful tour.
Very helpful guide and variety of scenery. Damm is neat. We enjoyed the paddle boat cruise and lunch. Chocolate factory was very minimal...best part of that my stop was the adjacent cactus and botanical garden.
We really enjoyed our trip to the Hoover Dam. We were a bit disappointed that the escalators were broken and that we couldnt get down to view the power room although we were given 5 refunds because of this. Also the weather was a bit windy and we didnt get into Black Canyon therefore didnt have the opportunity to see the dam from below. It was too dangerous and I can perfectly understand that but it was disappointing.
Excellent trip, pick up at hotel and we were off the strip on Duke Ellington Way. Don't advise just doing the Hoover Dam Tour only as the Lake Mead Cruise makes the day special. Full day including a delightful deli lunch which was excellent, ham or turkey sub with bag of crisps, piece of fruit and drink, awesome! The paddle steamer was brilliant and the cruise was sooooooooooooo relaxing also showed you the Hoover Dam from a different angle on the lake. Would have felt a bit let down if I had only done the Dam as this only takes about 2 hours to see it all and the cruise just made it extra special. Loved every minute. Thank you Viator, perfect.
Hooverdam was amazing and enjoyed the cruise was well worth the day thanks Viator
Daryl was our tour guide through GreyLine. This was a wonderful tour of the Hoover Dam but we were disappointed that the elevators were broke and we could not go down the Dam. The paddle boat ride on Lake Mead was very nice and the lunch was a typical deli sandwich.
Our coach driver was entertaining and friendly. The dam was an incredible sight. Only thing that spoilt the tour was that the lifts on the dam were out of action that day so we couldn't do the plant room part of the tour but that was nothing to do with the organisers and couldn't be helped - we were promptly refunded part of cost of the tour because of this. Lake Mead cruise was good, on board packed lunch quite basic but plenty of it. Great views from the boat. Another good tour and worth the cost.
The little side trips, on the way to and from, added so much value to the tour and cruise.
Another must if you visit Vegas. Stopped off at the welcome to Vegas sign for photo opportunities then a trip to the chocolate factory before arriving at the Dam. Tour to the Hoover Dam was out of this world. Plenty of time inside the dam and then time to wander across the Dam and look about the gift shop before hopping back on the bus to go Lake Mead. A nice wee lunch was served on the paddle steamer with an option to buy drinks at the bar. We sat on the top deck of the steamer as it cruised along Lake Mead and up towards the Dam. Spectacular views. look out for the turtle at the marina. The bus driver was very knowledgeable and extremely funny and make the journey good fun. He also stopped off to show us some of the white bottom sheep which were elusive to us at the lake. Another must do trip when your in Vegas.
This tour was great! Pick up was on-time and the crew provided plenty of information on what to expect as the day progressed. Daryl, our driver, was funny and informative. In fact, the canned information they played on the bus was pretty interesting too if you listened closely along the way. You have plenty of time at Hoover Dam to walk around on your own after the tour. The Lake Mead cruise was relaxing and plenty long enough to enjoy the scenery. The lunch was decent - a sub sandwich, chips and a piece of fruit, along with a soda. We were picked up around 8:45am at the Bellagio and were dropped off around 5:30 that afternoon. So plan on a 9-10 hour day depending on what time your p/u is scheduled and then where you fall in the drop off order.
What a wonderful construction something I have always wanted to see. Great tour.

This was a great way to see both the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Everything was very organized from pickup, to ticketing, etc. and our driver was awesome! He had a great speaking voice so it was easy to listen to him narrate and tell a few jokes a long the way too. We loved that he added an extra stop to see a herd of big horn sheep because he saw them all hanging out in the park named for them. We got to get out and snap a few photos of these amazing animals. Our time at the Hoover Dam and on Lake Mead was just the right amount. We could have used a few more minutes at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory as the lines to buy chocolate were so long that we really didn't get a good chance to explore the cactus garden which was really cool. The price for this tour was definitely worth it and we would recommend it!
Trip not recommended for people with devices such as pacemaker, defibrillator. Went anyway and i had more time to see exhibits, walk along the bridge, look in gift shop, etc. I had a great time and got a snack even though lunch was provided once on the boat. The boat trip was relaxing, got to see the dam from another perspective, and was just a great time. Also went to a chocolate factory and wandered through the cactus garden. Learned about what else to visit while in Las Vegas and was the perfect beginning to a vacation. Highly recommend if travelling solo.
Despite temperatures well above 100'F we has an excellent day. The cruise was cancelled due to a mechanical glitch but we were compensated for that before we even left the bus depot and they gave us the luncheon which we originally had not signed on for. We also stopped at the Ethel M chocolate factory and went through the gorgeous cactus garden there. Great day, fantastic driver and really nice fellow travelers. I would recommend viator to anyone who is looking for an organized and reliable tour company
This was a great tour! Lot's of information about the dam. The boat ride was p,easant and offered different views of the dam than what we saw on land. Well worth the time and cost.
Enjoyed it very much. The tour of the dam is something anyone can do but booking with no worries is the way to go. It was a full day experience. Dam, lake Mead, chocolate factory, cactus garden. I was ready to be back...but in a good way.
Door to door service
Its hot bring water and sunblock
