What a hidden gem. We used to be sure to stop by the MGM hotel to see the lions there, but they closed that exhibit down in 2012. What struck me about this place was the cleanliness and palpable love for these animals that the trainers had. You can just tell when someone speaks animal, and these people do. The most important thing to the wonderful people here is the health and happiness of their animals. Highest recommendation! Also, the behind the scenes tour has a lot less people trying to get the attention of the lions - after our tour, there were large groups of kids laughing at the lions, who were grumbling back at them - found the kids annoying and wondering where the parents were - only to sadly realize, they were right next to them doing the same thing. Too bad you can't pass a test before you're allowed to be with these majestic beasts. Do yourself a favor and visit this place - but please be respectful of the big kitties!
The lion habitat is a great family outing. As soon as you enter the you see their main, huge lion as a backdrop to amazing picture shots. This place is such a hidden gem outside of the city noise. It took us about an hour to walk through it & we really enjoyed ourselves.
My family and I enjoyed our visit to the lion habitat. It has more than just lions there, you can see birds, ostriches, and giraffes. My daughter had the opportunity to feed the giraffe while petting him. That was her highlight of the day. It was awesome to when they feed the lions because all of them start to roar, and it can be heard throughout the entire facility. If you a family traveling in Las Vegas, this is a must see.
I never even knew there was a Lion Habitat Ranch in Las Vegas until my fiancé decided that we were going to take our son to see some lions. It was a lot of fun and the facility had numerous cats, ostriches, parakeets, and a famously talented giraffe name Ozzie. Ozzie the Giraffe was my favorite and they even had a half off price to hand feed Ozzie, so we took full advantage of that price and my son got his first experience feeding a giraffe.
The Lion Habitat Ranch was amazing! Bentley the lion was my favorite, he is considered the biggest male lion there and weighs over 500 lbs. We took our son there to see lions in person for his first time and he enjoyed every minute of it. They had snow cones, chips and little souvenirs for guests to purchase while they are there. For the animals there, they had food that you can purchase to hand feed them (not the lions), just make sure you bring plenty of quarters as they are dispensed through a gumball machine.
Way Better than a zoo. The whole staff are well informed and very helpful. It was a pleasure and really great day.

Lion Habitat Ranch Is amazing! I took the upgrade option to feed the lions. It was a blast, how many times are you going to be that close and safe to a lion? it is a really great activity to do in Vegas, something different. If you are into wild life and come to Vegas this is a must see.
It was fun,we got there on Benny the Lion's third birthday and we were able to catch his birthday party and watch him get his piñata, I.also got to hand feed a giraffe and we were able to watch them feed the lions and the Cubs
Amazing!! Staff very knowledgeable about the animals in their care. Cute baby giraffe that paints a must see. I highly recommend this tour to everyone! Price may seem a bit high but when you see what it takes to care for these beautiful animals on a daily basis, the donation is well worth the price!
The Lion Habitat Ranch was amazing! Would definitely recommend! Such good value for money too! So many lions to see and the cubs that are there at the moment are so cute, it's great how you can watch them get fed and everything. The giraffe that is there is adorable, and he paints! Was the best animal themed thing that we did whilst in Vegas. It is a bit off the strip, but 100 worth it. The staff are amazing also, all so friendly and welcoming.
We had such a good time. A great place to bring your family. All the staff is very friendly and informative.
This was more than I expected. Everyone at the Ranch were so friendly, helpful and eager to answer any questions. Talking with them you just knew they "love" their job. All the 48 Lions are so well cared for, all their cages are clean and spacious. The baby giraffe is adorable. The only complaint I have is that I wasn't allowed to take the baby cub, "Angel", home with me. She and her friendly humans are a must see. I hope to go back soon to see how much Angel has grown. What is so nice is being able to spend as much time watching her play, roar and drink from her bottle. This Ranch is one place you don't want to miss. I would give it 10 STARS
Who would've ever thought there was a Lions den or sanctuary in the desert? Well there just happens to be one and it holds some famous history of the Las Vegas strip. In fact the lions which are at the sanctuary are former strip entertainers. They now live in this nice retirement community on the south end of town. They appear to be living the good life and are viewed by many tourists daily. I sure enjoyed seeing my family enjoy the small park where you can see many happy lions. It was a lot of fun and if you happen to have a young child in the family I highly recommend taking them for the visit. They will be glad you did.

The Lion’s Ranch is far from the Strip, but it totally worth a visit. Despite of the name, they also have other animals as emus, ostriches and even a giraffe! However, the lions are the main attraction here and the staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable. I took my 2 year old niece and she loved the experience.
Great Lion habitat! Super clean, animals looked very healthy and the employees were very knowledgeable. Will go back with my Grandson, I live here in Las Vegas. Thanks
well worth the visit big cats in excellent facilities and well looked after must see if your in vegas all staff there do fantastic job and cats are spoilt rotten!
What a great tour! I got to see all the lions and received a detail explanation of their lives. All my questions were answered. I got to watch 3 yearling lions being fed by hand. They were so polite, I wish my dogs were that polite. I also got to watch a lion being bathed. It is a very nice relaxed atmosphere and you could tell the lions were happy and being well taken care of. Can you imagine having a 55 gallon plastic barrel as a toy! It was worth the cost of admission and would be a wonderful family event. Definitely recommend you visit next time you're in Vegas.
My friend and I had seen the lions at the MGM on previous visits to Las Vegas so when they removed the exhibit from the hotel we decided to go and see how they were doing. Well I can safely say that all the lions are living in Lion Heaven as they all looked so well looked after and content. The enclosures are quite small but as we were told, lions sleep most of the time and as they are so well fed they don't need to move around much. You can tell that the people who work there totally love all the cats (and the other animals including a gorgeous baby giraffe) and we were lucky enough to see Angel, a 9 week old cub that was being hand reared. Def go and see the cats if you are in Vegas as all the money goes to looking after them - we also left a donation in the box at the door as the entry fee is so reasonable - it all helps keep these wonderful animals in the comfort they deserve.

Really enjoyed the lion habitat ranch. It is a 20 min taxi ride from the strip and the ranch isn't massive so you need to weigh this up. I would recommend if you have time do the Lion Tamer for a day you get to watch them be bathed and get to feed them and get up close. Staff were very accommodating.
The ranch has a great resource of lots of lions. But they did not make it educational. Also too expensive encounter with lion cubs. Which should be in admission price. Total tour takes less than 1 hour. Not worth the money
