Small-Group Grand Canyon West Rim Day Tour from Las Vegas

Small-Group Grand Canyon West Rim Day Tour from Las Vegas

This sightseeing tour to the Grand Canyon begins with a hotel pickup in Las Vegas. Enjoy a light morning snack while making the 2-hour drive east, passing through the Mojave Desert and the Black Mountains and Grand Wash Cliffs of Arizona along the way.

Enjoy four hours exploring at the West Rim, with short hikes to the Eagle Point and Guano Point overlooks to take in the amazing views. Also visit the Hualapai Ranch for a delicious barbeque lunch.

You can upgrade your tour to include either a helicopter flight or admission to the Grand Canyon Skywalk.

Helicopter Option: Lift off high above the canyon in a helicopter, then swoop down between its walls and land on a private bluff just above the canyon floor. Walk around and get an up-close look at the many layers of the interior of the canyon and gain an even greater appreciation of the immensity of this natural wonder. Total tour time is approximately 55 minutes (15 minute roundtrip flight and 40 minutes on the ground).

Skywalk Option: Take a walk on the world famous glass bridge that overlooks the magnificent Colorado River 4,000 feet below you. This jaw-dropping perspective will help you gain a better appreciation of the canyon's staggering dimensions.

This day tour also includes a complimentary photo stop at Hoover Dam, either before or after visiting the Grand Canyon.

Please note: If you have selected the helicopter option, you must provide all passengers' individual body weights. If helicopter option is not selected, please enter 'Not Applicable' in the Passenger Weight field at checkout.

Awe full, I mean it, we were just in awe of the beauty and drama. Guide was excellent, ON TIME, but flexible as we had 6 people with auxiliary trips with three different agendas and it all worked in a slightly revised order without a whole lot of waiting around either. Alvin was interesting and intelligent, someone who held a very different opinion than mine but who could be totally respected, and after all a divergent opinion is much more likely to shed new light on the knowledge you think you already have.

It was a great trip. We had fun walking on the Skywalk, had our pictures taken on it. We stopped at the Hoover Dam and had an great through the Mojave Desert. What can you say about the Grand Canyons that has not already been said. It should not be missed. We enjoyed our guide Jack who was very informative and pleasant.

It is great to take a break from a busy business trip schedule. During my last trip in Vegas, I had a little bit of free time and decided to take a tour to the Grand Canyon. I chose Viator because of its vast selection of tours and amazing traveler reviews. And I must admit it was worth it! The mini-bus was not only on time but ahead of time. The driver was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We had enough time to see the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam. In addition, on the request of a couple of travelers he stopped in the Joshua Tree National Park so that they could take pictures. He even had spare jackets for those of us who do not check the weather before they leave the hotel. Great experience, excellent customer service and a lot of fun memories! Highly recommended!

Recently I was out in Las Vegas for business and decided to go on a tour during my spare time. I figured since this is the closest to the Grand Canyon I’ve ever been, it was my best chance to see it. I picked this tour because I liked the idea of being with a smaller group and avoiding a less friendly tour bus experience. The van showed up on time exactly where they said they would meet us which was great because the areas around Caesar’s Palace is large and can be confusing. The driver was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The drive out to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon took a couple of hours but it went by quick with his stories and facts about the areas we were traveling through. When we arrived at the Grand Canyon we had three hours to explore the three different areas of the West Rim. Eagle Point and Guano Point both provided great views of the Canyon, with Guano Point having a 360 degree view of the canyon. Lunch was provided and was available at each of the different locations which provided us with some flexibility. On the way back to Vegas, our driver stopped along the Joshua Tree Forest so a couple of the passengers could get out and take some pictures with the trees. Overall it was a great experience with an excellent driver who was very accommodating and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who is staying in Las Vegas.

Excellent trip. Alan our guide was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Helicopter ride into the Canyon was overwhelming.
The whole trip was well organised.
Hooverdam was amazing.
Alan ensured that we got to the Canyon early to avoid big queues for the helicopter.
Would highly recommend this trip. May seem expensive but totally worth it. The Gran canyon is an amazing place.
Thank You.
