What To Expect

Relive the violent and mysterious gangster heyday of Las Vegas during this mob tour in Las Vegas. Anyone interested in tapping into the dark history of Sin City will enjoy this exploration of its most famous mobsters and longstanding gangster culture.

Start your excursion in the evening from the Tuscany Casino and Suites where you'll watch a mini-documentary about Las Vegas and the mafia's infamous influence on the city . You’ll meet your guide for the evening, who will be appropriately attired in vintage gangster clothing, including pinstripe suit and fedora. Over the course of your visit, you’ll hear compelling true stories of intrigue, murder and mystery. To start, listen to a history of the mob’s intimate connection to Las Vegas, a story that dates back to the 1940s.

One of the colorful characters you’ll discover during your excursion is notorious mob figure and casino kingpin Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel, a man who helped usher in the modern era of casino building in the city. You’ll also hear stories about how Las Vegas gained the nickname "Sin City" and see some filming locations from the movie Casino.

Our vehicle is equipped with an extra condenser on the A/C so it blows extra cold, we also provide ice cold waters, and also personal electric fans to help circulate the air in the vehicle. A very enjoyable tour. Having a driver for the van and a guide is much better than some tours that double up driver/guide. The guide was in character of “wise guy” and provided a lot of history on how the mob moved into the Vegas casino business. There are a couple of opportunities to get off for closer looks at the sites. The stop at the Flamingo allowed the group to go into the interior gardens and see the tribute statue to Bugsy Siegel and the lovely pool areas. He used the movie “Casino” as a point of reference for many of the mob personalities, and it seemed that the movie was more of the tour focus than the local sites. Overall it was an interesting 2 hours and we saw sites we would have otherwise missed.

Our host, Bobby, was great. He had some interesting information that he shared and told some great stories. I had a higher expectation about what we would see. We could have done the tour over the pizza dinner rather than drive around Vegas and see parking lots and old bank buildings.

However, the 'pizza dinner' afterwards amounted to basically a cheap frozen gas station pizza which arrived at our table half-burnt and very poorly cut. We should have went to a good NY style pizza place, I would have paid 10 more for the tour for a good pizza to end the tour. Skip the pie!
