What You Can Expect

Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino

Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino

Head to King Arthur’s Arena at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip to catch the medieval production of Tournament of Kings.

The show begins with a visit from the wizard Merlin, who explains that each section of the arena is a country and each country has a king. Prepare to cheer accordingly.

King Arthur gathers the rulers of Europe (that’s the audience) for an extravagant banquet and competition. Watch the battle between wizards, knights and kings while feasting (sans utensils) on a 3-course meal of vine-ripened cream of tomato soup, roasted Cornish game hen, red potatoes, steamed broccoli and a biscuit — plus an apple turnover for dessert. Then raise a stein and give a hearty toast to the combatants.

We went to the Tournament of Kings Show. A very enjoyable show with authentic jousting and battle with swords a real armor. The audience was encouraged to get involved with the cheering and pounding on the tables. The dinner was authentic with the Medieval Times. No silverware. Everything had to be eaten with your fingers. Very exciting and enjoyable. Suited for the entire family. I highly recommend this show to anyone who enjoys excitement with audience participation. I will certainly go and see this show again.

I went to the Tournament Of Kings and it was fantastic, we were standing in line and you could feel the excitement from the guest waiting to get into the show. When we got into the show we were seated in sections of different countries. We were first served soft drinks and then hot tomato soup which was delicious. We were able to take picture before the show. Merlin The Magician was going through the theater greeting everyone as they came in. We were served our dinner which consisted of a Cornish game hen, small red potatoes, vegetable, roll and a Apple strudle for desert. Once the show started, a parade of drummers, warriors and maidens came out paraded around the theater, and Merlin the Magician entered the from the castle and gave instruction of no cell phones or pictures during the show. The show started out with an explosion and the introduction of the Kings from each country which you would cheer for the King of the section you were seated in. The Knights feasted at the round table while the maidens danced around them before the chivalry and treachery games began to determined the champion. Everyone was cheering, roaring and being rowdy pounding on the table for their own king to win. While the games were going on the Evil Dragon tried to kill the kings and take over the kingdom and fights erupted between the Dragon and the kings. The Dragon killed King Arthur and tried to kill his son to be the king of the castle. The kings son finally won and became the king of the castle. It had a lot of excitement and explosions with fire throughout the show.It was a very exciting and enjoyable show for the entire family.
