This is an exclusive opportunity to admire Michelangelo’s famous ceiling fresco and his other works in a tranquil, crowd-free atmosphere.
  • See the Vatican's most impressive artwork without waiting in line
  • Admire the beauty of the Sistine Chapel before the daily crowds—early access ticket included

Why Travelers Choose This Tour

Be among the first people of the day inside the Sistine Chapel with this ticket.
Your early morning Vatican experience starts as you meet your host outside the Vatican Museums. Go in and head directly to the Sistine Chapel, the pope’s private place of worship, which is normally the last thing seen on a tour of the Museums complex. With this ticket, however, you’ll enter the chapel as one of the first visitors of the day, allowing you to enjoy it without the crowds.
Gaze in awe at Michelangelo’s iconic ceiling fresco, The Creation of Adam, as well as The Last Judgment, his blue fresco that adorns the back wall of the chapel. Talking is not allowed inside, so you’ll learn about these Renaissance masterpieces before you enter.
Your tour concludes back in St Peter's Square, where you'll be able to take in the architectural splendor of the Vatican.

Stunning place. Of all the Vatican, our favorite place was the view from the cupola above the dome. A lot of stairs but worth the effort.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to. I highly recommend this tour. Getting up early was a small price to pay for the lack of crowd in the Sistine chapel.

We were among the first to enter the Sistine Chapel . No crowds. Quiet with plenty of time to take in the beauty of the artwork. We were able to go back into the museums after viewing the chapel. You do have to go through the chapel again to exit to St Peters. Wonderful experience.

This was one of my favourite tours in Rome. You can get in much cheaper but you will be stood in massive queues waiting to get in and the place will be packed. This way we had early access so much fewer people in the place and a much better chance to learn the history and look around. The tour guide was absolutely fantastic. 100% recommend.

Grateful for taking this tour as we truly beat the crowds and were better able to take the time to enjoy the tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful as she explained how to navigate the area and best deal with the crowds once our early tour was over! We went back to the Sistine chapel after our early tour had ended and it was just shoulder to shoulder with tourists.

This ticket was a nice thing to have at the Sistine Chapel. With the guide we were one of the first groups into the museum/chapel. She was nice, she had her quirks that made her interesting and the day unforgettable. There was quite the line prior to opening so I would recommend using a skip-the-line ticket or this early entrance access tour.

The experience was great, we almost literally open the Vatican museum that we have the best time to see most of the display at the museum and took a photo of the display. Same as the Sistine Chapel we almost open it and we had the time to sit and enjoy the beauty of the paintings. I almost stayed there for half an hour mesmerized by it's beauty. I will definitely recommend this to my friends

We were so grateful to have booked this tour- we breezed past the long line of other “skip the line” tours, as this company is a Vatican partner. We were shocked at the long, endless line when we left and all the scammers trying to sell bogus tickets outside. It was a pleasure to be there early in the morning and see everything with a smaller amount of people. I can’t recommend this option enough, you won’t regret it!

Easier to walk to and view the Sistine Chapel with less than 100 people! I have walking difficulties and the small number of people visiting during this time made navigating the steps easy. We returned later in the morning to enter St. Peters through the Sistine Chapel and the crowds were huge and difficult to maneuver. Definitely worth the price.

Waking up early is not always ideal on vacation but this was our best decision yet. Barely any crowds or nudging your way to get a picture. Thank you!

Would recommend the early entrance option, I believe our guide mentioned only 2 or 3 tour groups have the clearance to do so. It was worth it because of course viewing the Sistine Chapel without being squeezed amongst hundreds of others is a plus! I will say this is more of a early entrance ticket and less of a 'tour' - we received some information from the guide but you actually leave her after you've entered the chapel and explore the remainder of the museums on your own. I didn't mind this but be aware it is not a fully guided, information packed tour.

Definitely the way to go for seeing the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums! Our guide, Alessandra, was very nice and knowledgeable. Even at 7:30AM, there were probably about close to 100 people also there for early entry. We hung out for a few hours after the tour to look at some of the exhibits in detail and listen to our Rick Steves audio tours, and by 10AM, people were packed into the main exhibits like sardines! The line waiting to get into the Vatican at about 11AM wrapped around the entire block!
We went on a Wednesday, so St. Peter's was closed until 1PM due to the Pope holding mass. It's open earlier than that on other days. We got impatient and left. When we came back at 1:30PM, we ended up having to wait an hour to get into St. Peter's! My recommendation would be to go straight into St. Peter's Basilica from the Sistine Chapel. Don't be impatient like us.

I guess maybe it depends on which guide you get, but I felt slightly disappointed with our experience. When our group arrived, we were first in line outside the main entrance. Our guide bragged to us about how exciting it was that we would be the first group in. However, once we entered we ended up being held up and passed by many other groups including other groups with the same tour company while our guide held us in the outdoor courtyard and showed us pictures of the chapel art to give us historical information. Then, he further kept holding us back while we walked through the hallway museums leading to the chapel. By the time we actually entered the chapel, there were many other groups inside and I believe even the general public had began trickling in. On top of this, he kept having technical issues with his microphone, so we missed much of the information he was giving us during the hold ups. Overall, it was still worth it because the crowd in the chapel was bearable and when we left, there was hardly anyone in the rest of the museums. But if you think you will be the first group in which is what they advertise, adjust your expectations.

We were rushed through to the sistine chapel.I thought we could visit the Vatican museum after but was instructed to leave. We didnt get instructions how to visit the basicilla. I felt we didn't get our money worth from the tour.

This tour was extremely excellent! After finding our tour guide we were escorted into the Chapel a half hour before it opened. It was wonderful going into the chapel with knowledge from the guide and being able to enjoy the magnificence and splendor without the mass crowds. There are other tour groups, but no where near as the mass crowds as usual.this tour is highly recommended for all.

Just entrance to Sistine chapel but that itself was wonderful. If you dont go to St Peters by the shortcut and look to see more of the museum you end up back in the long line to St Peters so beware. Be sure you know what specifically you paid for

Maria was outstanding. She gave some great overall hints to enjoying the Sistine chapel and the museum. Would highly recommend taking this tour.

, Sep 2018

Please note: this is an 'express' tour meaning the guide gets you to the entry of the chapel and then leaves you once you are in the chapel. We had a 7:20 am entry into the Sistine Chapel. When we arrived for the tour, the tour guide rushed us through a series of halls leading to the Sistine Chapel. When she got us to the entry point, we were the 2nd party in line - so the 'rush' was worth it.. She gave us some background on Michelangelo as well as things to look for in the different parts of the room. Once we got into the chapel, there was plenty of room to move around and there wasn't any pressure to move on to the Vatican museum. There isn't supposed to be any talking in the Sistine Chapel so the tour guide hung around to see if we had questions and then left. We had downloaded Rick Steves' audio narratives on the chapel -- so between what the tour guide told us and the audio guide, we were well informed. The Vatican museum was not worth going through. If we had skipped the Vatican museum, we could have snuck into St. Peters Basilica through the back right hand door when your back is to the alter that the tours go through.

Going for the early access ticket is a must! Sure there are quite a few groups all going in early, but it is far less crowded than if you wait for the general admission. Our guide was wonderful and the artwork was beautiful!

First into the Sistine Chapel. Just 10 of us in the group taking in the incredible artwork. Really good info about how to see the rest of the Vatican the history and work as well as the meaning of the scenes. Also a very kind kind hostess.
