Once your cruise ship docks in Corinto, go ashore and meet your guide outside the port gates. This tour's departure time will be adjusted according to the arrival time of your cruise ship.
Your first stop is the Flor de Caña rum distillery, the only factory in the world that completes all the distilling steps on site, including growing the sugar cane. After entering the compound's gates, board an eco-friendly tour vehicle to visit all of the stations shoing the history, production, and conservation involved in making this award-winning rum. After some rum tastings, have lunch at the factory cafe. Choose between beef or chicken, served with: rice, salad, mashed potatoes, bread and sauce. Includes beverage and dessert.
Following lunch, continue to Nicaragua's first capital, León Viejo, founded in 1524. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2000, the ruins of the original city make for a fascinating tour. Up on the highest point in the complex, get views over Lake Managua, Momotombo volcano, and its little brother, Momotombito.
Return to the cruise port for drop-off in time to catch your ship.
