Wow! Wonderful day out!

Wow! Fabulous day out of Lisbon! Andrew (Andre) was the best tour guide. He gave great recommendations for lunch and then places to eat and what to see is Lisbon for the rest of our trip. The wine tastings were very different but both very good and informative. The views in Arrábida and Sesimbra were wonderful and we had a nice lunch of wonderful seafood where he recommended. It was a treat to stop off and see the bridge and the Cristo Rey monument up close. Andrew took photos for us and was just a wonderful tour guide. I learned so much about Portugal and its people you would never get from a book. I’m so happy I booked this tour and had Andrew as a guide. It is like having a friend now in Portugal. Highly highly recommend taking this tour!

The tour guide was very nice and informative. He did a great job with the first wine tour. He provided us with details about our stops and let us look around on our own. We would recommend! (Lunch place was very tasty, but also on the expensive side)

We were here for a quick 'sampler' trip of Lisbon, and booked this excursion to get a little bit out of town and also to learn about and taste some good wine from Portugal. What a delight! Nuno was a fabulous guide- knew much about the area, the wine, and was SO personable! He is clearly committed to guests getting the full experience, and I say a huge THANK YOU from these two American gringos....I will send anyone else your way, and am enjoying all the pics of the lovely beach town.....AND all the wine putchased!!

I thoroughly recommend this tour as a great way to see more of Portugal than just Lisbon. Went out into country side and visited two great but different wineries plus a fantastic castle and many other things. Nuno Machado was the perfect guide and went to so much trouble to make the tour so enjoyable and personal. Book this tour and ask for Nuno

Not my cup of wine

I thought the tour could be organized better, we showed up at a small winery at the same time as several other same tour groups from the same company. They could have arranged the timing much better to have staggered arrivals so we didn't have to wait around for the wine tasting with nothing to do. The next tasting wasn't as nice it was a large group tour of Fonseca with about 50 other people vs touring with a small group of people. The tour was ok but not as good as other tours I have done.

I took this tour on May 22nd and was extremely pleased with the entire experience. We started at Hard Rock Cafe where we met with our guide. After getting in the van the first thing he did was ask us to introduce ourselves, tell where we were from and then we were off. Along the way out of the city he pointed out different points of interest and answered questions about everything from the unemployment rate to information about Portugal’s universities. He continued to give us information about what we could expect during our tour. The first stop was the castle of Palmers that is now a hotel. He walked us throughout the area giving us more information about the history of the area and pointed out surrounding areas. Next stop was the beaches along the Atlantic, then on to our first winery, Jose Maria Da Fonseca. A guide from the winery walked us through the history and facilities and then to the tasting room. We tasted two of their wines, the Periquita Reserve and a white which I don’t remember the name of. Then on to lunch at a small fishing village on the Atlantic. The fresh fish was wonderful and the views spectacular. After lunch we has a bit of time to do some shopping and then on to our second winery, a small fairly new facility, but the wine was great. Our guide did the pouring and presentation at this winery. He went into depth about each of the 4 wines that were presented. From there we started back to Lisbon with one stop left before arriving back in the city. The last stop was at the Monument of Cristo Rei across the river from Lisbon. Spectacular views and spiritual place. Then back to Lisbon. The tour is all day but the time went by quickly due to our guide continually sharing information and answering question. Well worth the time and cost. Would do this tour again and and tour with our guide.
