Joao was full of great stories! We were a group of English and Spanish and he was attentive to both groups. The trip was so much fun, relaxing and full of great sights. It was a nice way to see parts of Portugal that we wouldn't have seen.
I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. A hilltop medieval castle, a workshop where tiles are created by hand, an artisanal winery in nestled in rolling vineyards, a seaside fishing town with fresh fish you will not regret it. And if you happen to get Joao Costa as your guide, you're in for some interesting stories, honest opinions, and good laughs along the way.
My one criticism is the second larger, more tourist-y winery you go to at the end of the day. I would much rather spend more time at the other destinations. But I still had a blast, and you will, too.
A nice tour to explore the country side and vin-yards, beautiful views and we had the chance to visit one of the hand made tile factories, which was pretty interesting. If you are interested in knowing more about how wine is made and type of wines of that region it is recommended.
A good mix of wine and sightseeing. The vineyards were completely different, which offered a nice contrast. Luis was a great guide, very happy to answer questions.
The Arrabida and Sesimbra day tour was a great trip. Great views, visits to two completely different wineries but both very picturesque, a fun seaside town for lunch - what more can you ask in a day trip. As a bonus, the sun was shining and the flowers were blooming, I also enjoyed the final stop at the Christ statue. Our guide Jose was incredible at keeping us informed and corralled.
Had a great time on this tour! Our guide Jose' was informative and fun. The views were amazing and so was the wine. It was a great way to get out of Lisbon and see a little more of Portugal.
We had such a lovely day out - we tasted quite a few glasses of wine in Arrabida and some more famous wines in Sesimbra. Amazing views over the whole of Lisbon to end a wonderful trip. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to see the surrounding areas of Lisbon.
Really enjoyable tour. Our tourguide Gus was very knowledgeable, about the areas we visited and Portugal in general. He answered lots of questions from everyone. We especially enjoyed the small vineyard, you will pick up amazing wine here at bargain prices! There are also 5 tastings here included as part of the tour.
My boyfriend and I just went on this day trip today and it was FANTASTIC! Great wine, great sites, easy pick up location and most importantly a friendly and wonderful guide. Our guide Jose showed us a wonderful day! Highly recommend this tour :
This was a great tour. The wineries were fantastic and so interesting to see everything. Our tour guide was very informative and gave us a great play-by-play of the surroundings as we were driving. If you want to see another side of Portugal this is a great tour to go on. From seaside village, to mountains, and wineries, this tour has it all.
VERY well organized and prompt start. The guide was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on the history and culture of the different areas. The wines we tasted were fair to decent but I am a bit of a wine snob. It was good to see the small family owned wineries versus the very large Fonseca operation. The fishing town was beautiful and plenty to see and do. If you're in Lisbon and want to spend about 6 hours out of the city I would highly recommend this tour.
Our guide was incredible, and the trip was beautiful and thought-provoking. From the very beginning, the guide and Inside Lisbon treated us with respect. Our guide was informative and funny, and we received insights into Portuguese culture we wouldn't have otherwise. The wine tastings were amazing, and seeing the countryside via mini-bus was a great experience. Highly recommend.
We absolutely loved it. Our tour guide Juan was the perfect host. He answered every question we had along the way and also served as photographer. The tour visited two vineyards, Quinta de Alcube and Periquita. It was the perfect end to our 18 day European trip.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Also stopping along the road at scenic and interesting sites added to the experience! The wineries were fun to visit and the wines were delicious to drink!
Highly recommend this tour. My husband and I attended. Our guide was fantastic and shared so much history everywhere we went. Sesimbra is a cute little fishing village and the beach is just gorgeous. I also liked the juxtaposition of both a small winery and a larger more established winery.
Great day out, wonderful guide (Luiz), packed in sooo much, wine tasting fantastic, really good value for a full day tour
My wife and I enjoyed this tour. The drive was scenic and the driver, Andre', was fun and informative. Both wineries had great selections. While we prefer red, the white was pretty good. We ended up buying a few bottles of each.
Fabulous day with friends. The small group minibus was a real bonus as it is much nicer than being herded around on a coach. Though limited to 8 there was only me and two friends celebrating my birthday with a wine tour. We were able to look around the castle and attend both wine tastings without any other tourists/queues. The first was very small and family run winery. The wine was beautiful and so cheap to buy 4/5 euro a bottle. The second was larger and comprised of a tour of the cellars and wine tasting - the building was also a lovely place to take photos. There was a big contrast between them - one small and family run - the other much larger supplying supermarkets. Joao was a friendly and excellent tour guide - he gave us plenty of information but also left us look around on our own and did not rush us. The minibus was clean modern and comfortable. We were taken to Sesimbra for lunch via a lovely coastal road. Highlight of my holiday to Lisbon.
Awesome tour would highly recommend. Great scenery, great wine, and awesome tour guide, Andre. You get away from the big city of Lisbon and get to relax while someone else drives you to around and you drink wine, doesn't get much better than that.
One of our trip highlights. It was very nice to see a Moorish castle in such privacy. The two wineries were very nice yet very different. The wine was great, had to bring some home! The trip along the coast to Sesimbra was very beautiful, we really enjoyed the views. Had a new perspective of Lisbon from across the river. Great tour guide, John, made the trip that much more entertaining and memorable.

Great tour. We stopped at two wine vinyards; many wines to taste. We stopped at a local fish restaurant for lunch. Excellent. Lunch was not included, but it was offered and recommended. My four teenagers were with me and had a great day as well.
Brilliant tour- best day of the holiday. Guide was amazing, really enthusiastic, well informed and clearly loved his area. Really good value for money too.
Covered a lot of territory and received a lot of great information. Some truly breathtaking views along the drive. Sesimbra is a cute cute town.
