Visit the Catholic pilgrimage town of Fátima on a 6-hour, small-group tour from Lisbon, and explore the grounds of the Fátima Sanctuary, built on the site where the Virgin Mary is believed to have appeared to three local children in 1917. You’ll have a short guided tour and free time to experience the sanctuary and basilicas, as well as a guided tour of the homes of the three children. This 6-hour Fátima tour includes pickup at Lisbon hotels, and it’s limited to 8 people for a more personal experience.
Meet a guide at your Lisbon-area hotel for a 9am departure, then begin the 80-mile (178-km) trip from Lisbon to Fátima. Upon arrival at the Fátima Sanctuary, start with a short, 10-minute tour of the sanctuary and an explanation of the events of 1917. Following the orientation, enjoy independent time to visit the area—depending on timing, it may be possible to attend a mass at the Fátima Sanctuary. See the Chapel of the Apparitions, which marks the precise place where Mary is said to have appeared to the three children, and take in the two grand basilicas, the neo-Baroque “Our Lady of the Rosary,” and the more modern “Holy Trinity Basilica.” After your time in Fátima, head to the nearby town of Aljustrel to see the homes of Francisco, Jacinta Marto, and Lucia, where their simple, rural lives have been faithfully reconstructed using period pieces. This tour concludes with the return trip to Lisbon and 3pm drop-off at the Marquês de Pombal Hotel, or at Restauradores Square in the city center, close to public transit, restaurants, and some of the city's top destinations.

Unfortunately this was a very disappointing tour. The main reason we chose this tour as opposed to any others was because it was advertised to be 6 hours from 9am-3pm and it was only supposed to focus on Fatima as compared to the full day tours that made as many as 4 stops.
We were the first to be picked up at 8:20am. The last group was picked up at 8:45. We visited the homes of the 3 children first and then went to site of the apparitions. Upon arriving at Fatima our guide gave us no further information, I asked where the mass would take place, she wasn't sure and told me the wrong location. I then Googled the mass schedule and figured out where to go. The size of the property is so massive that we were 15 minutes late for the mass. She really should've been able to give me the correct information. Secondly, we were rushed here. We arrived at 1055 and she wanted to leave at 12:30.
The trip back is a little over an hour and we arrived in Lisbon at 1:45. We were dropped off last at 1:55. Note in the morning we were picked up by our hotel but there are only 2 locations we were allowed to choose from at the conclusion. We chose the Rossio drop-off and asked if she would be able to leave us in front of the Rossio train station, she refused and left us a few blocks away.
Unfortunately this was the only semi-private tour I found that solely focused on Fatima. If you truly want to explore the property, attend a mass, and/or confession, or have something blessed a better option would be to rent a car for the day or hire a private driver. I DO NOT recommend this tour.
We felt rushed from the start to the end of the tour. We were dropped off at 2pm which was supposedly 3pm. We didn't get a lot of information about the sanctuary and we were brought to the fabrica store to buy souvenirs instead of just buying it in local stores to save time.
We had a really relaxing ride to the Fatima tour and we arrived back at the area where we would be dropped off on time. It very crowded at Fatima. We enjoyed out driver and it was a good trip and she did not rush anyone. We enjoyed all the people we were with.
We were with Daniel who was very informative and balanced a tour with English speakers (my husband and I), four Italian speakers, and a Spanish speaking couple. It was the perfect amount of time to explore Lisbon. Would recommend it.
We're were promptly picked up be our guide and drive. Small group was great -- just 6 people. Ride comfortable. If you just want to go to Fatima, without the other side trips, this is the tour for you. Spent time at the village of the children, but not very long. Wish longer, but because it was a few days before the Pope's visit, the town was quite congested, and more time would make little difference. We were late going to the Santuario so we missed the planned mass. We were given about two hours, so we did find time to join in the rosary and mass at the Chapel of the Apparition. That gave little time for shopping, if that's what you like.
The trip is reasonably priced, so much so that some of the people signed up for this tour, just to save on the transportation cost. This was much more convenient and less expensive than taking the train, bus, or car. It was the best choice for us.
