Very worthwhile. Daniella was an excellant guide. Lots of local history and good food and wine. Last visit to taverna was a real surprise in location and interior beauty.
This was such a fun thing to do on the day we arrived. It gave us a flavour of the gastronomy culture with plenty to eat and drink. We thought it was very good value.
This was an amazing tour and I credit the success to our guide Daniela. Her bubbly personality, enthusiasm, and knowledge was incredible and although a rather large small-group of 16, Daniela managed to interact personally with everyone in the group. She would make a great school teacher. We sampled lots of great food and several different wines at about 5 different venues, most of it knew to me. If I had the opportunity to do this tour again, I would put it near the beginning of my stay in Lisbon giving the opportunity to return to one or more of the venues later. Thanks Daniela.
Excellent food and wine, sprinkle with history and context. Pedro was a great tour guide!
Great tour - did it in the pouring rain but did not spoil it. Was good to do it on our first night as it gave us a good idea of the layout of Lisbon not easy due to all the small alleyways. Also found a couple of great restaurants which were not on the tour but that we passed which we would never have found otherwise. Food was great and guide very informative.
We had a wonderfully delicious tour of Lisbon! I wanted to take this tour the first night we arrived, but we had to reschedule it, because of a delayed arrival and jet lag. Our guide showed us how to get up to St. Michael's using elevators in the parking garages, that would have come in handy the day before when we walked all the way up the hill on foot. We were warmly greeted in each of the cafes/restaurants. The food was very good and the wine was great! We learned a lot about Portuguese cuisine and tried some delicious food that we would never had ordered otherwise. We had a great time with the other guests, who were from UK, Guam, Germany and one other couple from the USA. We always enjoy our conversations with guests from other countries. As the night went on, there was a lot of laughter and shared views of the world. Our guide was very engaging and loved sharing information about Portugal's history and cuisine. He was very knowledgeable, and answered every question we posed to him. I would highly recommend this tour!! This is the second Viator food and wine tour that we have taken, and we have thoroughly enjoyed them.
A fun time was had by all. Our guide was exuberant about Lisbon and its food and drink. The variety of tastes was astounding, as was the types of establishments we visited.
The food and wine tour was a great way to start our visit to Lisbon. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. It was a great way to get oriented to the foods and wines of Lisbon. We highly recommend this trip, it was well worth it.
Fantastic tour ! Great guide very knowledgable , awesome food and wine! Love Lisbon
This tour might have been the best thing I did while in Lisbon. The guide was great, food was excellent, just book it and enjoy!!!
This was a great tour. Though a little chilly, the walking and the wine will get you going. This tour was a bit more specific about what it offered and didn't disappoint! There were tips and tricks to the city that were given throughout the tour and then Pedro our guide stayed behind for a bit at the last stop to give recommendations for things outside of the tour itself. He was very knowledgeable but did not bog you down or bore you with 1000 history facts, we were able to focus on the food and the history of the food. I would definitely recommend this tour for its personal feel. Abrigado!
The tour was brilliant. Miguel was so informative and got the group mixing well as he took us on an amazing tour of places to sample great food and drink great wine. By the end of the tour we had all made friends and had a lot of fun. Excellent value for money as well. The sample s were generous.
We had a lovely tasting experience with a wonderful guide Sophia. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon for the first time.
Sofia was great! She shared so much about the food and wine, but also the history of the city, and how Portugal's cuisine has evolved throughout history. She made the tour fun and was happy to answer questions. This was a great way to start our week in Lisbon. Along the way from stop to stop she talked about some of the shops around us and their significance to Lisbon. After dinner, she provided us all with maps for the city and provided us with recommendations for other venues, sights, and experiences. Obrigada! - Mayra
This was great, I really enjoyed the different foods and wines. Nice pace and the guide gave good insights into the food and wines. A good selection of places we went to as well.
An amazing experience, Danny was lovely, so helpful and knowledgeable. It was fun to try the foods and wines and experience some out of the way places. Prior to starting the tour I had injured my knee. Danny went out of her way to make sure I could participate and enjoy the tour.
Rebecca was a great guide, her knowledge about the history of the various areas around the city that she took was very good. She had a really good sense of humor and did a good job of answering various questions that came up along the way. The ratio of food and wine/drink served was way more than expected and incredibly good value for the cost of the tour.
Great tour and guide. We were taken to places we never would have found on our own and treated to a variety of foods with good company.
We had a great time trying different foods in the old town district of Lisbon. Great guide in a small group, so we could really experience the small restaurant settings, and all the different foods and wine Lisbon had to offer. Some slight hills for walking Lisbon is the city of 7 hills but very doable and the vistas/views of Lisbon wonderful. A wide variety of foods and lots of good wine offered at almost every stop. The final stop was a courtyard open air restaurant, and we all sat down with wine and several different dishes. Fabulous. All the places were slightly off the beaten path and you would never find them without a local. Lisbon is charming, exciting, fun and very affordable. We loved this tour.
Very good tour to go on for your first day in Lisbon and to get a feel for the city and where things are situated. Also it is good to know where to find some of the local restaurants are in the city versus the ones where all the tourists go too. Carolina, our guide, was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the city and recommended good places to eat and hangout. Highly recommended if you have never been to Lisbon before.
