Best tour of Portugal! Our guides Martine and Pedro were amazing. Both were very knowledgeable and took thier time. It was a magical 2 days!
I CONSIDER MYSELF AN EXPERIENCED TRAVELER WITH GOOD EYE FOR DETAIL AND A BARGAIN, ALTHOUGH I PREFER TO TRAVEL ALWAYS ON MY OWN DUE TO SHORT TRIP I CHOSED THIS GUIDED TOUR AND IT WAS TRULLY WORTH EVERY PENNY
The tour guide for Sintra and Cascais was really good, as were the tours.
The tour guides were excellent. They had a nice balance of Information and time to explore on your own. The group was small enough that you were not having to wait for laggers nor strain to hear the guide. The day we walked in Lisbon we went 5 hours and the tour guide was not flustered at all. This is a great way to see Lisbon, Sintra and the coast in a relatively short period of time.
This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. One day Sintra and Cascais with Louis and next day Lisbon walking tour with Pedro. This was really amazing, I highly recommend it; greatly organized and awesome and very, very informative, professional and friendly guides. I love Portugal and have been there before but these two tours have taught me so much about the country and made my trip so much more enjoyable, you will not be disappointed
Walking tour guide Sofia was excellent and so too Louis for next trip. They are an added value dimension for a great trip
This was a great way to see Sintra! Or tour guide João even drove my girlfriend and I to another site that we wanted to see, without us asking him for the ride. What a great day.
Both excellent tours, the lisbon walking tour went above and beyond food and wine tasting, involved some extra visits to look at wall frescos and small palaces, Sintra is a must see and the timing of the visit was perfect to avoid the peak of the crowds
We spent a fantastic day with Paulo on our Insight walking tour of Lisbon! This tour was booked with Viator and we were lucky to have a small group of 6. Paulo is obviously very passionate about his city and we really did get a lot out of the day. He was very interesting and did not bore us with too many dates etc just gave us the honest straight forward history and current uptodate information on this beautiful city! His knowledge of Lisbon is very extensive! He took us down side streets and alleys which as a tourist you would not know existed. Also explained to us how a lot of these quiet back streets come alive at night with restaurants, bars and nightclubs! A really good insight to the Portugese way of life! We had some great stops along the way - espresso and pastries - divine! Port tasting with cheese and quince - yummo! Beer - because we needed one as it was a warm day and we were thirsty ;) Then a fantastic trip across the Tagus river on the Ferry with the locals to view this wonderful city from the other side. You can also stay longer should you wish to view the "Christo" - however you need to make your own way back. We sampled some fantastic seafood also and "green" wine - very light sparkling wine - yummo! The day went really quick and we didn't realise that it was about 2 hours over schedule - we were enjoying it so much! If you do this tour - try and ensure its Paulo guiding you - you won't be disappointed!!
Our day to Sintra we quite enjoyed however it was a pretty long day! The Palace and gardens were very interesting - however a bit too touristy for us! We could of done without the few hours in Cascais too - found it all a bit too touristy.
Out of these two days we thought the Lisbon walking tour with Paulo was definitely the highlight!!
These were two great tours and an excellent price! Our walking tour guide was Fabio and he was very knowledgeable about the city life in Lisbon. The food was amazing and we even bought some cheese to take home. Our tour of Sintra and Cascais with our guide Sara was also very good!
Both were excellent and so were the guides. Take them, you won't regret it.
Sintra is a lovely place and Pena Palace is fairytale. Cascais and Estoril completes the day with the stunning ocean view.
The walking tour in Lisbon is recommended to all those who want to learn in a short time about the highlights of the city. You need to be in a good shape to keep pace.

Overall It was great and Sintra, even better. Our tour guide was Andre, and he was wonderful as well, very informative and courteous. Highly recommended!
Walking tour with food and wine was nice. It was wonderful to have a nice small group of only 5. The guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. But make sure that you are ready to walk about 8 miles UP AND DOWN HILLS AND STAIRS! My feet wee sore and hurt that evening. Day trip to Sintra and the castle and Cascais was a real treat.
These two tours made a geat combination. The walking tour with an excellent guide, Maguerida, round Lisbon gave a good appreciation of the city and ended with a ferry trip across the bay to an excellent tasting, one of several on the walk. Even though the weather was less good for the Sintra trip, the guide was flexible enough to allow us to see the sights and have free time in the best conditions. Well worth doing.
Both days, the walking tour with the guide, Joana, and the trip to Sintra with the guide, Andre, were absolutely fantastic!!!! Joana and Andre were telling us a lot of stories, they were really nice people, we had a great time both days. I really recommend both activities to anyone that visits Lisbon.
Fabulous. The group you contract with, Inside Lisbon are the best. The guides are interesting and energetic. They love the country and city and it shows. Both tours were great, but we loved the food and wine tasting the best.
My husband booked these two tours for us and our friends from CA. The walking tour was filled with history and insight from our tour guide, Paulo, His knowledge and love of Portugal made this a must see walking tour. We saw parts of the city we would not have seen, tasted delicacies we would not have known to try and experienced true Lisbon culture. We took the minivan tour to Sintra and Cascais the next morning and were not disappointed. Portugal scenery was beautiful and we again had a very knowledgeable driver and guide, Francisco. He was so personable and informative and attentive to all our needs. We would recommend Viator and this tour package to anyone! Regarding the walking tour, if you have an issue climbing hills and stairs I would not take this tour, but if you can handle it, it is well worth it!
Our tour guides were both great. Each knew the history, culture and took us places we never would have found on our own. Lisbon is lovely and I highly recommend this package.
The walking tour was a disappointment. Nothing interesting, the tasting was poor.
My first day trip, to Sintra and Cascais, was extremely disappointing. I would give it 2 stars. It is extremely easy and cheap to travel to Sintra and Cascais by train, but I was willing to pay for the tour because I appreciate having a guide that provides history, personality, and other helpful information and tips about the towns. Our tour guide, Nunio, was probably the worst tour guide I have ever had. He was so quiet, which is very odd for a tour guide. He provided the bare minimum information and had no personality. I tried to ask him about any further information about the city or places he'd recommend, but he told me I could go to the information office if I wanted to read more... Besides one famous place to get pastries, he didn't have any recommendations on things to do or see during our free time in Sintra. When we were in Cascais, there was barely any history and because there was no walking tour, I was hoping he would have some recommendations for places to eat or shop around, but he only gave me one suggestion for a place to get a drink with a view and he didn't provide good directions on how to get there. I was very upset that I wasted my money on a tour that I could have easily done on my own for only a few euros. The only reason my rating isn't lower is because my second day was so great.
I would give the Walking Tour with Food and Wine Tastings 5 stars! I had the best time, and our tour guide Pedro Osorio did an amazing job! Noemi Alfieri was also an intern for the tour, and she was very present with our group and had a lot to contribute. I learned a lot and our group had so much fun experiencing the history, food, and culture of Lisbon!
covered a lot of territory and had a good tour director that knew the area. small van was a plus
Walking tour of Lisbon was great. This tour skips the main touristy areas and focuses on giving you a better feel of the city and it's neighborhoods thn you could otherwise get. We were the only two people on the tour that day so needless to say we had a great personalized experience but in general I am sure it is great anyway.
The sintra and cascais tour was pretty good but could have used more guidance in cascais then just being dropped off and given a pickup time. Also several other stops made with good views but it got a little boring as the guide didn't add oo much information (but was very nice and answered questions when asked).
