Excellent tour and Portugal is the most lovable country in my whole Europe trip as people are friendly and you feel not like an alien. Sintra is excellent
This Lisbon Super Saver is a mere overview tour but a very good one for starters. Lisbon just has too many interesting sights and neighborhoods that one bus tour cannot cover. The same goes for Sintra. For those with only a few days' stay, this is a great combination full day tour. I had some extra time to concentrate on a couple of areas so I went back to those myself. Alas, Sintra will have to wait when I next visit Portugal.
Anna was wonderful! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the highlights of Lisbon and the Estoril Coast. Although the tour says the duration is 8 or 9 hours, our tour was actually 12 hours from pick-up to drop-off at our hotel, so that might help in your planning purposes. It's a long day but well worth it - we would have never seen this many attractions on our own in such a limited time. There is also a lot of walking up and down hills on cobblestone in Sintra, so I would definitley wear comfortable shoes.
This was a great day starting off with a really comprehensive tour of Lisbon which we never would've been able to do on our own. Cityrama the tour company who took us arranged to pick us up really close to our apartment which was great. We didn't realise that this was two completely separate tours. So after Lisbon, we were recommended somewhere to eat lunch and the next part of the tour began at 2.30pm. The second part of the tour was also really enjoyable, especially beautiful Sintra, and being taken to Cape de Roca, the most Western point in Europe and the beautiful village of Cascais. The Estoril Coast is very scenic and beautiful. Again the tour guide was excellent. It would have been better to have been dropped back to the spot where we were picked up as it was a long way back to our apartment and it was quite late but this was a minor thing. Thankyou Viator for a great day!!!!
An excellent tour.... My journal explains Soaking in the early morning stillness of the streets, I found my way to the meeting point, but not before purchasing a Portuguese tart for breakfast, delicious but sweet. I think the sugar coated my teeth for a good couple of hours. The tour today was combination of local Lisbon and then outer Sintra, returning home with a drive down the coast. Local Lisbon consisted of a number of sights including Rossio area great for shopping, Alfama a very old part of Portugal and perhaps my favorite, winding, hilly and skinning streets lined with very old buildings nice ambiance, very picturesque, Praça do Comércio Sculpture of King José I on a bronze horse Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. UNESCO sights are always on my bucket list and I was rewarded on this tour with a visit to the Jerónimos Monastery, mass appeared to have just finished timing is everything. So for those that remember Vasco da Gamas first European to reach India by sea - tomb is in the church here. Opulence at its best was seen at a visit to the coach museum an array of coaches built for the aristocracy, dating back to the 17th century. A reasonable drive after lunch landed us in a small town called Sintra with a visit to the Sintra National Palace and wander through the town. The Palace was not the most impressive I have seen but each palace has its own uniqueness and this one certainly did. There were a couple of rooms of note they included the chapel, the kitchen with the largest chimneys ever, and the blue and white chamber stunning. Returning home through a number of interesting point including the western most point of Europe Cabo da Roca known as the end of the world for Europeans back in the day. Following the coast, a couple of points of interest included Cascais Bay, Estoril Coast and Hell's Mouth cliff Boca do Inferno.Boa Noite,
We loved both tours. An added bonus was that we got picked up and dropped off at our hotel.
Spectacular! Saw so much and the guide was passionate and very knowledgeable.
Bit disorganised in the beginging ordered online form the hotel two days before hand so i wrote email about pickup but knowone answered it so we walked to the loacation that was mentioned only to find out that they had arrange pickup from hotel. Other that this the Guide was fantsatic . Sintra was really beautiful would have like to stay little longer in Cascais. However it was beautiful and we enjoyed well worth seeing.
Love Lisbon but was really overwelmed by surrounding areas: Sintra, Cascais and Estoril Coast. Quite a perfect mixt of history and mother nature's beauty!
Even so on the beginning I was placed in a wrong bus, your crew did fix the problem and accomodate me in exploring Lisbon after coming back from surrounding areas.
Unforgettable experience. A country with fascinating history and lovely people.
Great trip. Lisbon sightseeing was an excellent overview to help determine where you would like to spend more time. Sintra and Estoril drive excellent.
Great tour and they picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off there also. Good narration by guide.
The tour was enjoyable and the tour guide was very accommodating, we had a taste of the Estoril area and casino which we could have missed if not for the guide.
The Lisbon City tour was great and brought us through all the major attractions in the Belem district. The afternoon was absolutely unforgetable! Sintra is gorgeous! And our guide was very loveable!

Absolutely wonderful, I though the Palaces of Versailles was great, still but was equal too it,
You would need a full day at Sintra there is so much to see

This was actually two 12 day trips so there was a little misadvertising. HOWEVER, you see a good cross-section of Lisbon which might be worth it if you're in a hurry - if you have the time take the hop-on off instead and save a lot of euros! Similarly, just take the 12 day Sintra tour it is comprehensive and you get to experience a beautiful place. Maybe if they had included lunch for the 80 euros, it might have been worth it.
I thought this tour was a really great way to see Lisbon in a short amount of time. Sintra was the highlight of my trip, and Viator made it easy and time efficient to take a trip there. My only complaint would be that the tour was given in two languages, which often made certain activities last longer than they should have, but this is a minor complaint and is to be expected on an international tour such as this.

The buses were clean and comfortable. The tour guides were excellent and knowledgeable. The locations were visited were fascinating and wonderful. The only criticism I have is that there was not enough time to do it all in one day, but I highly recommend these tours.

This tour had it all. There's great sightseeing in Lisbon. The coast was fabulous, and Sintra was great! We could've used some more time in Sintra, though! We were lucky enough to have a great guide as well.
Perfect one-day, go almost everywhere tour. Starts off with the sights closest to the city center, back for lunch break and changing bus, and finishes with a long afternoon to must-see Sintra and picturesque Cascais.
