The small-group-ness makes all the difference in a tour where you are going to four or five places in a day. There was some delay at the Lisbon meeting place for the numerous tours to outlying areas but that's likely a rarity. An easy way to get a high-level glimpse of Sintra, Cascais, Cabo de Roca, and even Estoril. Carlos was delightful, knowledgeable, and fun.
Nelson was the most outstanding tour guide - a fountain of information, coupled with charm and empathy. It happened to be a foggy day, which meant that some of the views were hidden in mist, but it gave the area a romantic and evocative feeling.
My husband and I travelled with out son, and we all loved the experience.
Very informative and well-balanced programme. Worth to try definitely!
Really good tour did not know what to expect but guide was great and Sinatra very interesting. Also stopped at a Portuguese holiday resort which was very relaxing. A good day out once you have spent a couple of days in Lisbon.
very nice tour. We enjoyed it very much. Our tour guide was very informative and Sintra and the castle are beautiful. Worth every penny and highly recommend the tour.
A great, great day tour. And the guide was wonderful. I highly recommend this tour. The palace is unique.....a must see. And of course you see the county also......
In our planning our trip to Lisbon, we were looking for a good day trip and settled on Sintra based on the recommendations of some friends. You could just take a short train ride there and go on your own, but we elected to go with the tour and are glad we did! On the tour we had a great guide in Diogo and learned a lot about Sintra, the Peña Palace, Cabo do Roca, Cascais and even Lisbon that we wouldnt have known otherwise. Also going with the guide made it way easier to see everything and the other stops in addition to Sintra were great. Would definitely recommend!
Super guide! Very smart planned tour. We were lucky with the weather. Good job!
Nuno the tour guide was very informative and helpful. Definitely recommend this tour.

Great and easy tour from Lisbon. Sintra never disappoints. Herald, our guide was patient, extremely knowledgeable, and super nice. Highly recommend this small tour. So much better than a large bus!
Delightful and fun day with a small group of five. The guide was very knowledgeable and enjoyable. I wish we could have had more time in the town of Sintra.
Great tour, confortable car, loved the small city of Sintra and all the day.
Excellent Tour. Took this tour from the tour guide Joao. It was very good. Arrived on time, professional, well organized. The van was clean and comfortable. Would do it again anyday.
Excellent trip, fabulous guide, small group of people which was most enjoyable. Nothing to complain about as we saw and did everything. Highly recommend.
What a fantastic tour! Sintra Palace was fascinating, especially considering how many rulers lived in the palace, and added their own architecture and decorations to those of the previous rulers.
Cascais was a really nice town, and a shame that we only had a few hours there.
We learned a lot about all the handbags and actual garments that are made from cork - that was definitely a nice surprise!
We will definitely return for a visit in the near future.

This is a very well organized and sharp tour. On time. Top tour guide. Ask for Diogo...To Pena Palace and out before time consuming crowds arrived. Diogo was informative and well versed in the sites we visited and open to answering questions. Pena Palace is especially inclusive of many styles which were a bit less confusing with explanation. My favorite time was on the coast. It is absolutely beautiful!,,,I never thought of Portugal and surfing. This tour was a great use of time and money. I even went back to Sinatra later on my own. It is a beautiful little town with several interesting historical sites. My only regret is I did not see the National Palace which is right in town. I really enjoyed lunch with my daughter and that was my priority but we were right there and someone else might want to visit the Palace over lunch and grab a sandwich instead. Yes, I would recommend this tour/ guide.
Very enjoyable day, 8 hours. The visit to Pena Palace was interesting and fun, great photo opportunity. Once the driver stops, you have to walk up and it is of moderate complexity the alternative is to take the Sintra Shuttle Bus. Once you are at the palace, you can walk around. There are great photo opportunities. The weather is changeable there, you may need an umbrella. We then went to the village of Sintra mildly intriguing. We then went to lunch outside of the village to a place called Julio's. For 20 euro you can have a meal that will tide you over until the end of the tour and then some. You even get a bottle of great Portugese wine. Then you go the westernmost part of Europe, cool pictures but very windy. Finally, you spend time in the nice beachfront Cascais. Lisbon is approximately 30 minutes from Cascais. A fun, fairly popular tour.
It was just amazing! Our guide was Tiago. He is a very nice person with a lot of knowledge of the history of his country, with good sense of humor. The whole trip was very good organized, no waste time! During free time for lunch break we decided by ourselves to visit Quinta da Regaleira with its famouse Initiation well. Of course we did it on high speed but we have got general impression of the area. This tour is definitely worth it!
A great trip and would highly recommend to others especially going with our guide Bruno S. Bruno is a dynamic and resourceful guy, giving us lots of useful information throughout the tour which made it far more interesting and enjoyable. The itinerary was an excellent one, covering many different great areas of interests, and Brunos explanation and introductions made it even more worthwhile. Also we were given sufficient time for our own explorations in different areas and we did not feel being rushed. An excellent day and we truly enjoyed it tremendously.
It was awesome, thoroughly enjoyed it . Our chauffeur was very knowledgable guide as well . Highly recommended .
This is a must see and probably my favorite excursion in Portugal. Our tour guide Pedro was extremely knowledgeable and gave great insight as to the history of this area. If you can work around weather, go on the sunniest day of your trip as the views are beautiful. If you are a fan of beautiful gardens, they have planted vegetation from all over the world. This is truly an enchanting tour as well as ending in the CaisCais where you have to get the famous gelato place. Your tour guide will know!
We had a fantastic time and our tour guide was very knowledgable and helpful.
