Totally worth the trip. The architecture and history is amazing. It's a bit of a climb to get to the palace be prepared for some burning leg muscles or take the tram. The stop at the most western point of Portugal was a great view of the coastline. We found a great family business and had a nice leisurely lunch at our last stop on a beautiful day learning to enjoy all the lovely local food. Don't miss this tour.
Sintra is just so beautiful. This was one of the highlights of my trip. Great guide and lots of history.
We had a group of eight. Minivan type car was very clean and pleasant to drive in. Our tour guide, Harold was fun, friendly and efficient! He was very knowledgable and on the drive told us all about the local history and the relevance of our destinations. We wondered on our own periodically to explore the sights. It was the perfect mix of self and guided tour. Definitely wear layers and comfortable walking shoes. Harold also drove us up the narrow streets of Sintra to a quaint little local coffee shop where the views were spectacular. The entire day was filled with breathtaking sights and adventure. One of the best day tours I have been on.
Best way to see Sintra and the coastline. We had a fabulous day and our guide was great at getting us to Sintra to see the castle prior to the crowds. Then the rest of the day was beautiful and relaxing.
Great tour .... . We love it, every penny worthy. Experience Priceless.
Great full day tour to a very interesting and different, from Lisbon, area. Could have spent a little more time in Sintra itself. Cascais was also interesting and the beaches were spectacular.
Excellent tour. We really enjoyed it all. Great guide, well organized!! Would recommend it.
Great guide beautiful little town and the Pena Palace is unmissable.
Very nice trip and a great tour guide- Gonçalo Calheiros. Thanks a lot. Irina and Mila, Los Angeles, October 2016.
My husband and I absolutely loved this tour, especially our guide, Louise. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and really made sure we had a great time. Sintra and Cascais are must sees if you're visiting Lisbon!
we actually visited Cabo da Roca as well. it was out first time in Portugal and i would come without hesitation.
many thanks to our guide Harald, a German who fell in love with Portugal a made this day trip a very pleasant and insightful one.
We took this trip with Thelma and she was nothing short of amazing!
The tour was a great experience to visit the picturesque places outside Lisbon. Our guide Nuno was very knowledgeable and made every attempt possible to make our trip a memorable one. The locations covered within the tour were exquisite and a warm sunny day made it even more enjoyable. I wish we had some more time to spend and explore the cliffs at Cabo da Roca - 20 minutes was too little a time to walk around the place. The only thing I would mention here is that we travelled as a part of a 16 member group in a small bus not in the 8-seater minivan as mentioned while booking the tour and the driver was not good at all. Firstly she arrived late which delayed the start of our trip by 30 minutes and gave us all few scary moments while driving uphill in Pena Park. Overall, we had a great outing with Nuno our guide and would definitely recommend others this tour.
Pedro, the guide, was superb. He was informative and answered all questions with a deep knowledge of the places visited. He was helpful and spent a lot of time including all the group members and ensuring that we were all enjoying the trip and it was meeting all our expectations. I can't praise him enough. He made the trip enjoyable and memorable. Thank you, Pedro.

Everything from the start of the tour till the very end, it was a close-work-precision. Very well trained Tour guide - cum - driver. Good vehicle. We had some excellent co-passangers. The tour-guide did a fantastic job of narrating history of Portugal, Lisbon and of course the significant features/background of each of the places that we visited. The stop-over for lunch does not offer much variety of food. So, it is better to pack your own lunch.
Great trip, the guide was very good, I highly recommend this trip.
Had a great time on the small group tour. Very interesting history. Great tour guide! If you can get Gonzalo as a guide, then you are lucky. Very knowledgeable and fun to speak with.
Our guide Joana was great. Sintra is magical. but I wish we had more time to visit the gardens.
NO PROBLEMS ! was a great experience and a VERY good tour guide.. understanding and patient.. and very helpful with all the people in the group.... knowledgeable and just a nice guy !!!!!would recommend this tour to everybody who will visit LISBON !!!!!!
This was the first excursion of our trip, and it set a high standard for those that followed. The morning began with fog on the mountain, making the Pena Palace eerie, but it soon cleared, leaving us with the first beautiful sunny day of many to follow. Cabo da Roca was windy but impressive, and Cascais charming, with a great ice cream shop. Our tour guide, Gonsalvo I know, not spelled exactly right was knowledgeable, friendly, and did a wonderful job of herding us around.
This tour was very good and convenient. The guide was informative and interesting. Everything went smoothly and according to the description of the tour.
Wonderful guide and a fantastic day trip well worth the cost would certainly book with Viator again.
Pedro was a great guide from Inside Lisbon company. Highly recommend.
