This was my second tour with Viator first one in Florence, Italy and this tour was way better than i expected! Personally, the experience boils down to fellow travelers and more importantly, the guide. Our guide for the day, Mr. Miguel Safara was just awesome. We started the day slightly later than expected but he was very patient, allowing us to finish our breakfast before embarking on the tourCascais - Cabo da ROca - Sintra Along the way, he made a couple of pit stops which are not covered within the itinerary. At each stop, he took the time to explain the history of the location and gave us some time to take pictures. En route to Cascais, Miguel pointed out to many points of interest monuments, buildings to provide us insight. The scenery to Cascais was very beautiful as it was a coastal drive. At Cascais, it started to pour but Miguel was prepared and provided us with umbrellas. We were given some time to walk around and Miguel pointed us to a cafe which serves very good pastel de nata. As it was raining, we headed straight to the cafe and was treated to piping hot pastel de natas which were heavenly. We spent more time taking pictures at the pier before Miguel brought us to a nearby scenic location - Devil's mouth, which was a structure created by erosion from the waves. Thereafter, we comtinued to the highlight of the trip, the Cabo da Roca. Miguel brought us to his favorite spot for pictures and gave us time to explore, which was much appreciated. Thereafter, we moved to Sintra where we had lunch at a recommended restaurant at Sintra Square. We bought tickets to visit the Gardens of Pena Palace and we had a very good time hiking to the High Cross and spending time at the terrace of the palace. This marked the end of a very enjoyable day tour which i would very much recommend to take in a lot the charm and sights Portugal has to offer.

It was great. Miguel the driver arrived on time and was a wealth of information. We ended up being the only passengers. We got to see more than what we could have seen in the time available, than if we had tried to do it on our own. Just getting to the train and taking it to Sintra and then the bus to the palace and back would have taken the best part of the day. We would not have gotten to see Cascais or the other points of interest Miguel took us to. Well worth the money spent.

Our tour guide/driver was the big difference which made a good day tour into a fabulous experience. Miguel Safara our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area and its history. We highly recommend the tour and specially and if you are lucky enough to get Miguel as your guide!

This is the way to see Lisbon and the surrounding areas! Beautiful tour, great guide Miguel, and a nice group of 7 people in a comfortable car made it for an incredible day. The tour had a good pace and we had plenty of time to see all the spots without feeling rushed. Much more personalized experience and more easily manageable than a big bus. Plus, Miguel made it for a fun and interesting time. Highly recommnded!

The attraction is amazing and i highly recommend people go see this when in Lisbon. However, this is described as a full day tour and this is by no means a tour. Vasco is simply a driver. You get no history or knowledge of the places your going to see. Your paying for someone to drive you to these two towns! Hire a real guide. Don't spend the money on this!

I had very positive expectations based on the reviews. However, a few issues were not according to the description. Thankfully, the sites were beautiful and made up for it.

My main issue was our guide, Vasco, who never really explained anything during the trip. Yes, he was polite and patient, but basically a taxi driver, not a guide in any way. He had the music on and was making some private arrangements the whole time. If he said something, only the 2 people right behind him could hear what he said and even they told us, they couldn't understand everything.

We never stopped in Cascais, just passed by and he didn't even tell us what this is - luckily, we figured it out. We had to pay for our tickets in the Pena Palace and the Park and I thought this was included in the price Pena Park tickets were mentioned as included on the Tripadvisor website from where we booked the trip - later I learned it will be executed by Viator. Another thing according to the website was the entrance fee to the Quinta da Regaleira - we never went there, I have no idea what this is. There was no bottled water or wifi in the car, either, as stated on Tripadvisor.

We stopped at some small lake, called the Blue lake, and the guy didn't even know why it is called like this. Just a random stop to look at a pond! He then stopped at one point before Cascais and told us we had 20 min. We had no idea what this place was - he told us later in the car that it was some place called Death beach or something like this and that was it.

We had lunch in Sintra where he took us to the restaurant of his friends the food was really good but he didn't explain anything about the town. I am deeply disappointed and don't believe we received what we paid for. I usually book such trips when we travel, mainly for the fun atmosphere and explanations the guides provide. This was unfortunately not the case here.

This was in addition to the fact that we had to reschedule our Sunday trip because it was overbooked and agreed to go on Saturday. I am not sure why we could book online if it was already sold out! I think were just a bit unlucky but overall, I enjoyed the various sights and the fact that we didn't have to deal with trains and buses to visit these places.
