If you’re pressed for time and have excellent fitness, this is the Rinjani trek for you. After an overnight in either Senaru or Sembalun, start hiking from Sembalun at 3,609 feet (1,100 meters), then camp at the crater rim at 8,658 feet (2,639 meters). On day 2, climb to the summit for sunrise at 12,224 feet (3,726 meters) then return to Sembalun. Your tour includes all meals, snacks, and drinks, while porters look after the food and camping gear.
