What You Can Expect

Royal London Walking Tour Including Early Access to the Tower of London and Changing of The Guard

Enjoy exploring The Tower of London

Arrive at the Tower of London in the morning, and head inside with your early access ticket. Beating the crowds that appear later in the day, you’ll be one of the first inside the site. See the opening ceremony performed by the Beefeater guards, and then explore on your own. Highlights include the Jewel House — home to the Crown Jewels — along with the East Wall Walk, Medieval Palace, Traitors' Gate and the Tower Green: site of many an execution.
Late, at a prearranged time, meet your guide outside the tower and head to the pier. Hop aboard a Thames River cruise boat, and glide along the river into central London. Have your camera ready to capture snaps of some of London’s legendary landmarks as you go; Shakespeare’s Globe, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and St Paul’s Cathedral are all on the route.
From the pier at Embankment, walk with your guide to Horse Guard’s Parade or Buckingham Palace. See the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony, carried out by the red-coated soldiers of the Household Cavalry or Queen’s Foot Guard.
Continue to a vantage spot outside Buckingham Palace to see the balcony where the British Royal Family stand at events, and then bid your guide goodbye.
Please note: If the weather is poor on the day, the timing of the Changing of the Guard may be changed. In the event of this happening, this element of the experience will be replaced with an extended walking tour.

Awesome tour. Our original tour guide spoke too softly at times to understand her. However, another Viator guide was adjacent to ours so we switched to her and she was amazing. Her name was Amber and we enjoyed her very much. Fortunately, we figured how to change to her channel on the 10 minute Thames boat ride.

What a fantastic tour! Seeing the Tower of London before the crowds arrive is an amazing experience. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and our walking tour was top notch. His timing was perfect and we were able to see an incredible amount of key highlights during this portion of the tour. He knew where to position us for great views of the changing of the horse guard as well as the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. I highly recommend this tour!

At busy times, early access to Tower of London would be a must. Not too busy at this time. Our tour guide was wonderful, telling us exactly where to stand for the best photo opportunities. Good way to see a large amount of London in 1/2 a day

Must see!!!! We were a part of an old tradition that no one else waiting outside could see. Got to take our time seeing the jewels since we were the first let into the castle. Wish we had a little more time to check out the grounds. every penny!!!

Very good tour. We didn't get to see the changing of the guard due to circumstances beyond our guides control, but she took us to see the palace guards on horses. We also got early access to the Jewels of England and saw the opening of the gate of the Tower of London. We also took a boat on the Thames to get from Tower of London to Buckingham Palace. I would highly recommend.

Joyful guide Karren with loads of information. There is also a boat cruise which is fast and fun. The Crown Jewels will take ur breathe away, but you wont have much time to see the rest of the adjacent towers though which was disappointing. The morning slot surely beats all the queues, so this is certainly a big plus in summer vacation season! Seeing both the horse guard change and Buckingham Palace guard change is magical. The only comment I would add is that since we did this tour after many others, some stuff were repetitive of course, but it was still enjoyed it a lot and it was defiantly informarive, would advise to do it for sure.
