This was a wonderful experience. Well worth the investment. I would absolutely do it again.
Highly recommend this tour - we were able to see the Opening Key Ceremony which was quite unique and avoid the crowds at the Tower of London. Then, on to the Thames Cruise with our tour guide Phil providing great insights to the sights around us. Then, as we disembarked the cruise, and began walking through London, he provide wonderful insights and managed to share with us many elements of the Changing of the Guard, not just a single station. It was wonderful! I would highly recommend!
Great tour and guide. We enjoyed the key ceremony at the Tower of London which would no not been possible without the great planning of Viator and our guide.
Very informative and loved watching the Yeoman. Would highly recommend the early entry to avoid the lines viewing the crown jewels. We were up close and personal for the changing of the guards. Josh our guide was fantastic!
The departure time on this tour in the summer is 8:15 AM so do not be late. Our group of 4 was late due to the delays on the London Underground so we missed this tour. However, the tour company City Wonders was very helpful and rescheduled us on another tour London Highlights Walking Tour with Afternoon Tea for later that day. As for the Tower of London, we bought our tickets and did the normal tour with the Beefeaters. It was a lot of fun. The replacement afternoon tour turned out to be a very pleasant surprise and our group really enjoyed the afternoon tea experience. The most important point is that the Viator/City Wonders companies turned what was initially a big disappointment into a great day. This is why we always use Viator.
Getting into the Tower of London early was fantastic. We were literally the first ones in there. Our time there was rushed though and another 1/2 hour or so would have made it perfect. We had to zip out of there to catch a boat ride to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guard. Very efficient use of our time and great sites. Fast paced tour - may be difficult for slower people.
this tour takes you to the perfect viewing spots for the ceremonial portions of the tour at precisely the correct moment. Early admisssion into the tower of London was a refreshing break from the crowded lines and streets of London. Our guide was a talented story teller and was able to fill the morning with rich history and inside scoops. This is definitely a tour that is worthwhile.
We loved the tour. It was a real thrill to be let into the Tower of London early to see the opening of the tower ceremony. Danielle was fabulous -- extremely knowledgeable, cheery and funny.
A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. THE GUIDE JOSH WAS THE GREATEST. THE TIMING OF EVERYTHING WAS JUST PERFECT.
Our tour guide, Grit, provided my daughter and I, with a tour that will always remain in our hearts and memories. Her knowledge of Dachau and its history was remarkable. She knew when to feed us informatiion and when to give us time to reflect and be alone in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you!
This was an awesome tour and our guide Augusta could not have been better! We had a small group of 6 and she was very warm and welcoming. She led us expertly throughout the parts of the tour that were guided and at the Tower itself gave us expert advice on what to see, where to stand for the best view, and where to go once in. This tour was an early entrance tour and worth every penny as we had access to the Crown Jewel exhibit before the general public, had plenty of time to stare and ogle at the magnificent display of jewels without the crowds. She then guided us to the boat where we proceeded to the palace for the changing of the guard. Her timing was perfect and she got us to a spot where we had a clear view of the new guard coming out to relieve the old. She gave us great commentary and always made sure we were able to see clearly and answered any questions we had. This was one of our best tours!
Great guide. Danielle Dannie made sure we were first in to see the jewels, had the best spots to view the changing of the guards. She loved her job and wanted us to have the best visit possible. Highly recommend this tour and Dannie.
This was a great walking tour, nice pace and very informational. Our guide, Augusta, was very knowledgable both about the history and positioning us away from the crowds. We got to see unique aspects of all of the sites and places that she took us to. She was fun and the 4 hours breezed by. At the end of our tour, she even called and made us a reservation at one of the best places for afternoon tea, Fortnum and Mason. I would highly recommend this tour.
Paul was an amazing guide. He was knowledgeable and made this a remarkable experience. So glad we did this even in the rain :
Great tour! The guide was very good! Definitely recommend this tour!
This was a great tour, and the early entry to the Tower of London was one of the highlights of the trip! The guide, Amber, was very informative and kept us entertained throughout the walk with stories about London's Royal history.
Guide was knowledgeable, personable and funny. Great info on what we were about to see, what we were seeing and what we saw.... reinforced our learning without being pedantic or professorial. Knew the right place to see the event and shared his experiences with us. Recommend very highly.
This tour was outstanding, very informative, no pressure, the tour guide did an excellent job.
Early enterenance to tower was special and we were the first into the crown jewels fantastic tour.
We had a great time with Michael. He is most knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. He knew the best spots from which to take photos and had us walking beside the marching band so we were part of the experience. A definite recommendation to visitors.
Michael was an outstanding tour guide. He was full of information. He had a passion for the city. He got us in to the right spots for changing of the guard, etc., for great views. He was very energetic. The microphone and ear buds were very helpful many spots in the tour could get noisy.
This was my favorite part of our trip. Augusta was excellent. We saw the opening ceremony at the Tower of London, spoke to a Yeoman Warder and saw the crown jewels before the crowds. Augusta explained the sights as we took a short ferry ride to the changing of the guard. If we had tried to see the changing of the guard without a tour guide, we would have just gone to Buckingham Palace with the crowd. The best decision we could have made was to go on this tour. Augusta expertly knew where we should stand and how to time it so we had the best unobstructed view of the changing of the guard and band away from the crowd at Buckingham Palace. Her knowledge and experience was invaluable as we would have never known to go to those areas on our own. Overall, it was a great tour and my favorite part of our trip!
Tower of London is absolutely impressive. Well kept and preserved. We want to go back!
Guide was very knowledgeable. He had us in all the right spots at the right time. thank you!
