Buckingham Palace Tour Including Changing of the Guard

I am rating this three stars. Good-The leader ensure that we had a great spot to see the changing of the guard. This is where it stops for me. Bad-I am older, and needed to use the restroom before starting. There were older people in our group, I made the suggestion to the YOUNGER lead that she should let the folks know that there is a walk, and you would not be able to use the restroom until way after the tour when you finish touring Buckingham Palace.(About two -three hours) She snubbed me. You get guidance through the changing of the guard ceremony and to Buckingham Palace then entry to the Palace. You are on your own afterwards. I am not quite sure we needed the leader.

Nathan was an excellent tour guide, and he gave us lots of very detailed information. He was very thorough, and made it a pleasant afternoon on a cool day. We really enjoyed the self guided tour of the palace with all it's grandeur and history.

Excellent tour. Rosie was our tour guide and she was incredibly upbeat, knowledgeable and her witty ad-libs were an added benefit throughout the tour. She knew exactly when and where to view the changing of the guard so we didn't get lost in the huge crowd. Thank you Rosie for being a delightful and lovely tour guide.

Giving this 4 star instead of 5 since we did not actually see the Guard changing. We like our tour guide Natalie. She was knowledgeable and told interesting stories. She lead us to great spots for photos of the Guard parade. Great to actually tour the palace and waked right in so there was a long wait.

Directions of where to meet tour guide could have been more detailed. Meet up place was far from palace. As a result, we missed changing of the guard and tour of palace. I called tour company and they set us up with another tour of palace. Loved tour of palace! Also loved the cafe at exit point. Wonderful pastries!

Our tour gal, sorry I forgot her name, French accent maybe?, provided us with great information and set us up at excellent viewing points to see the entire sequence of the changing of the guards. After this first hour and a half, we gained entrance into the Palace. They have a wonderful multimedia audio tour system allowing you to go at your own pace exploring the various staterooms. Their adaptations for kids (a Family version) really is fantastic and allows children to also gain a lot of great information. You can also stroll through the gardens. Definitely worthwhile!
