Why Travelers Choose This Tour

Perfect for time-pressed travelers, this tour includes shorter stops and pre-booked entry so you can see more.
Depart your central London meeting point by air-conditioned coach, and journey out into the leafy English countryside.

Make your first stop at UNESCO World Heritage-listed Stonehenge, one of the world’s best-known prehistoric monuments. Rising up from Salisbury Plain, this remarkable stone circle dates back some 4,500 years and is generally thought to have been a temple that marked the movements of the sun.

On arrival, head inside the site complex with its visitor center, collect an audio guide, and visit the massive stone circle to experience its size and symmetry close up. Ponder the mysteries that surround the edifice, and learn the theories as to how the stones were transported and then raised here.

Next, continue to the delightful, UNESCO-protected spa city of Bath, famous for its elegant Georgian 18th-century architecture and connections with 18th- and 19th-century novelist Jane Austen. Take a panoramic tour to admire the honey-stoned mansions, terraces, and bridges, and enjoy a little free time to stroll around the cobbled streets at leisure, time permitting.

Back aboard your coach, travel deep into the Cotswolds, a region of rolling hills, green pastures, and stone-built villages that are considered perhaps the loveliest in England. Soak up the gorgeous views of the lush fields honeycombed with dry stone walls, and pass through bustling market towns crowned by impressive churches.

Arrive in the charm-laden town of Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of England’s greatest playwright, William Shakespeare, and home to the famous Royal Shakespeare Company. Take in the half-timbered houses and Avon River that winds through the town. Then, enjoy a visit to Shakespeare's Schoolroom, including sparkling wine and scones and a tour before strolling around Stratford’s quaint center.

When your visit to Stratford ends, return to your coach and drive back to London where your tour concludes.

Please note: on busy days, the order of the activities, as shown above, may be subject to change.

Fantastic tour! Our tour guide was awesome, friendly, had a great sense of humor and very knowledgeable. We had a great time! It is a long day but loved seeing other parts of England.

First off, kudos to Frank and Manuel. What a team! Frank was informative and a delight. Manuel was professional and a very skilled driver. Me and the wife were in England for the first time and were interested in touring. Stonehenge, the city of Bath, William Shakespeare's birthplace, the drive through the Cotswolds. What an experience! Highly recommended!
England in One Day: Tour # 6

The entire day was superb! We can' t believe that we have been to Stonehenge- phenomenal. Anne Marie, our tour guide, and Alex, our driver, were a great combo.

We came over from Philadelphia. We had the best experience throughout the day with a mix of fun, laughs and a personal touch from our tour guide "Big Ben". We loved our tour. Very comfortable, with an excellent driver, Martin. With the perfect amount of stops, we never felt we were in the bus too long. Bus itself was very comfortable, reclining seats, foot rest, space for bags, pocket in the seat in front and a folding tray. (much more room and comfort then your average air plane). thank you so much Martin and our lovely tour guide, Big Be. Mary Eddie Allie and Jude.
Great tour, bucket list tour.

Tough to get going that early in the morning with crowded confusing embarkment site, but after that, well done, informative, friendly, The guide gave good information, but also practical advice in terms of time to spend at different points. Long bus trips were an unfortunate necessity, but worth it.
Great day trip!

This was a great day tour. I wish we had of had more time to see the church where William Shakespeare is buried etc instead of seeing his birthplace. But all in all it was a well organized day trip.

You get to know England’s history, architecture & literature through these points of interest in a FUN way!
Wonderful! High recommendation.

Was in London for a week with a friend and wanted to see some of the countryside — And notable sites along the way. This was perfect. Unlike other tours, it is pretty much on your own; no guided tour at the sites themselves. We loved that! The transportation and tickets arranged beforehand were amazing. Would recommend to anyone visiting England.
Stonehenge and Bath.

Beautiful countryside. Love the history. Stonehenge is a must see. The town of Bath was stunning. As a visitor I was able to take some beautiful photos.
