The Perfect Day
Our tour guide was GREAT, Sheila was very knowledgeable, other than London traffic it was a perfect day. Evan Evan tours are the way to go.
good but could be better
So the reason for my 3 star review here lies really with the title of this tour. Early access wasn't actually a thing on this tour. First, let me start by saying that overall it was enjoyable. Our guide was lovely and funny and made sure everyone could hear her. She was also very knowledgeable. The afternoon tea was delightful. Here's what I had an issue with. We spent the money on non refundable tickets so why weren't the admission tickets purchased before hand? We were late getting started and our guide had to buy our entrance tickets to both tower and WA so we lost a lot of time with her just waiting in line. Because of that, our time through both ToL and WA I felt was very rushed. It would have been nicer if the tickets were already purchased in advance for us.
Anthony is amazing! Private tours of both White Tower and Westminster Abbey, There was the usual wait to see the Crown Jewels, but otherwise everything was very timely and efficient. It was a very full day, but did not feel rushed at all. Lunch at Borough Market was fun and just the right amount of time. Tea at Westminster Abbey was a nice selection of finger sandwiches and pastries and a great way to end the day. This tour was not cheap for a party of 5, but felt very personal and kept 4 teens entertained, so definitely worth it!!
Early Access Tower of London Tour with Afternoon Tea in Westminster Abbey
Our trip guide, Deborah, made a huge difference with this busy trip. There is a lot of walking, and our guide was knowledgeable about the sites we were seeing, previewed the day's trip prior to arriving to each site, gave us radio devices to be able to hear her clearly while walking inside and outside. The trip allowed for adequate time to see each site and the tour ends with an afternoon tea. Worth every penny!
Very disappointing.

This tour was very disappointing. First of all, it was more like transportation then a tour. We rode the double decker bus to the Tower of London. Rather then narrate the scenery on the drive or give us any useful information, our guide droned on and on about the traffic. When we arrived at the tower, the guide had an employee from the tower come talk to us for 10 minutes about the history of the tower. After that the guide set us loose and took no further involvement in our visit to the tower. It really would have been much cheaper to just Uber or take a cab to the tower. Next, we were supposed to visit Westminster Abbey. This was on a day when trump was in town. Before his visit, I checked trump’s schedule and noted that he was scheduled to visit the abbey the day before. The tour guide insisted that trump’s schedule had been changed and trump was headed to the abbey and thus we were detouring to some other site. Well, a quick check on-line confirmed that trumps schedule had not changed and a quick call to the abbey confirmed that it was open. Even if the lie was a product of the traffic, we should have been told the truth and given the option of going to the Abbey. At this point I had enough an we broke away from the tour, hopped on the underground and headed to Westminster Abbey. The only problem was we lost out on the skip the line passes that the tour would have provided so we had to wait in line about 45 min to get into the Abbey. It was worth the wait! This tour was a complete waste of time and money. Save yourself the hassle and just take a cab or Uber as there is no benefit, other then the skip the line passes, to this tour.
History, Beauty, Royalty, and Insight
This was my first time to these sites, and I am so glad I chose this tour. The tour leader, Anthony, would win a "best professor" award in any university. He is an ex military officer with great love of his country and history as well as an author and scholar of the British monarchy. How wonderful to be able to bring tourist attractions to life with stories and personal commentary, not just dry facts.
Tower of London and Abbey Tour was awesome!

This tour was amazing, our tour guide Shelia, was wonderful and so informative. Everything was well organized and we were on time for everything. The early Tower tour guide was amazing as well. Shelia's tour around the Abbey was the best of our entire trip. So knowledgeable she is! Tea at the cafe was delicious with plenty of finger sandwiches and scones. Riding on the old Double decker bus was fun too. Can't say enough great things about our day.
Great overview tour of several London sites
We were only passing through London so had to make the most of our time. We found this tour, and it seemed to cover several highlights. Although we did not know much about London's locations, we found the meeting point near Victoria Station was easy to find. The guide was excellent and we surely enjoyed the Tower tour before the crowds arrived. The side trip to the Borough's Market was a real treat and allowed us a unique lunch on our own. Westminster tour was good; only drawback was that the tea, although traditional, was in a cafeteria-like atmosphere. This, however, had been specified in other reviews before booking. Would highly recommend.
Great tour!
London has so much to see and do that it can be overwhelming to decide what to do or where to start. I found this tour to be a great place to start, Our tour guide was Anthony Matthews which I have to say, I really enjoyed his stories and knowledge of the history of London and of England. He is very passionate of his country and appreciates the relationships between nations. I enjoyed his sense of humor and could have spent hours hearing more of his stories and insights. I enjoyed learning about and visiting the Tower of London as well as Westminster Abbey. We also spent some time at a market which was awesome. I read how some reviews that some were disappointed with the Tea Service but have to say, I was not. The tea and treats were delicious and presented beautifully.
