We were only passing through London so had to make the most of our time. We found this tour, and it seemed to cover several highlights. Although we did not know much about London's locations, we found the meeting point near Victoria Station was easy to find. The guide was excellent and we surely enjoyed the Tower tour before the crowds arrived. The side trip to the Borough's Market was a real treat and allowed us a unique lunch on our own. Westminster tour was good; only drawback was that the tea, although traditional, was in a cafeteria-like atmosphere. This, however, had been specified in other reviews before booking. Would highly recommend.

London has so much to see and do that it can be overwhelming to decide what to do or where to start. I found this tour to be a great place to start, Our tour guide was Anthony Matthews which I have to say, I really enjoyed his stories and knowledge of the history of London and of England. He is very passionate of his country and appreciates the relationships between nations. I enjoyed his sense of humor and could have spent hours hearing more of his stories and insights. I enjoyed learning about and visiting the Tower of London as well as Westminster Abbey. We also spent some time at a market which was awesome. I read how some reviews that some were disappointed with the Tea Service but have to say, I was not. The tea and treats were delicious and presented beautifully.

Good way to see some highlights of London, and experience Westminster Abbey fully, learning about High Tea at the end:

This was a good tour. Tower was great stop at the market was a little short so lunch was rushed with little time to explore. Abbey is amazing and we really enjoyed the high tea.

This tour was amazing and my favorite of my time in London.
Pros: Our tour guide, Trudy, was phenomenal. She really enhanced this tour in every way possible. She's a blue level guide, so she knows her facts, has been put through her paces, and had wonderful people skills and sensing her group's needs and wants. This tour gets you in the Tower of London EARLY. Take it! Getting into the Tower early is a rare treat, and you get to miss the hoards of people and crowds that are coming - TRUST ME. You also get a Beefeater to give you a small guided tour in addition to your assigned tour guide for the whole day. The Tower is much bigger than you might think, it's not one tower but a complex of different buildings and events. The crown jewels are here - another reason to get there early to see them. There is really a moving sidewalk in front of the crowns, so if you do this tour, you get to see them with less people. Westminster Abbey: Pictures and other people's descriptions do not do this building justice. You have to see it for yourself. And to know how old it is, from the 1060s, is jaw-dropping. You get special entry to the Abbey, and get to walk down the middle most don't so it's where some of the biggest moments in English history have taken place. Isaac Newton on your left, Charles Darwin on your right, Queens and Kings everywhere. Not to mention the architecture, stained glass. It truly is awe inspiring. The stop at Borrough market is awesome. You get a break from the historical sites to see and smell the market, taste some awesome food, and shop for a bit.

Cons: The afternoon tea at Westminster Abbey. The cafe attached to the Abbey is very average and utilitarian. I thought it would have more splendor, be a bit more ostentatious. There really isn't much service, either. Your tea and sandwiches/desserts are set up and you sit down with your group. However, the food was very good as was the tea. I just expected more in terms of what the atmosphere at the Abbey would deliver. But, don't let this stop you from taking the tour. Still take it, but then have afternoon tea another day at a posh hotel in addition!

We booked two events through Viator - London Airport Private Arrival Transfer and Early-Access Tower of London Tour with Afternoon Tea in Westminster Abbey.

Our driver royally screwed up and we ended up 90 minutes late for our tour. Once Evans Evans realized what was going on, the tour director left the group at the Tower of London they were on free time, went wherever he needed to, got additional admission tickets for Tower of London, found us and enabled us to enjoy this part of the tour. He was a champ! The tour guide was knowledgeable, interesting, entertaining and perhaps most important - caring.
