Fantastic whirl of a boat tour! Our guide, Dave, was extremely enthusiastic but not too over the top. Some funny tidbits and amusing stories in with the factual information which mixed it up and stopped it from being boring or dry.
Dave was also very happy to provide restaurant recommendations based on preferences, occasion etc which was a nice touch.
Our drive, Ian, did some fab turns and had some fun once the speed limit opened up but nothing too scary, which I was grateful for since I'm afraid of water!
Would recommend and even do again myself just for fun!
Would recommend to anyone who likes a little excitement and would happily pay for it. Lots of fun on the river with a short historical but entertaining overview of the riverside buildings, followed by a high-speed ride. Our tour crew of Tristan and Andy were great!
The best experience. Would do it again.
Great cruise. Guide was fun and energetic.
Tristan and Nick were our crew. Tristan started off with a calm but entertaining tour of the Thames for about 15 minutes then he got to the point where he said we can only currently go 12 knots, but can go up to 32 knots once we get passed a certain point, and if we have an issue we should raise our hand in a fist at which point he'll ask us, why did you book a ride on a speed boat. He had a great personality for this job. He then joked that we should put on our seat belts - there were none - and went to the back of the boat. At that point, the bassy speakers started up with full on cheese, first playing the Baywatch theme music, to go with the fact that the boat was no picking up speed with the front pointed up a little. It was awesome. It may have been cheesey music, but it was great to belt our way down the Thames with the tunes belting out and Nick pulling swerving moves from left to right. That lasts for about 15 minutes. We then slowed a little and cruised back to the dock, during which time Tristan took photos for us. Great time.
Great trip , throughly recommend it . Part of 21st birthday treat . Tristan and driver Mike were surperb.
Stopped under Tower Bridge and sang Happy birthday to Toby with the help of people looking down from bridge.
You meet the boat on the pier just below the London Eye. We were warmly greeted and provided with life jackets, waterproof jackets are available if you haven't got your own. I would advise having a jacket, even if it's a warm/hot day as it can get quite breezy on the boat and the guys do give you a little spray at one stage!
Lucky the guide and Mike the pilot were great and we were very fortunate that Tower Bridge was being raised and we spent some time seeing the boat sail through. This did however mean that we didn't have time to go all the way to the Thames Barrier which we were looking forward to, but appreciate the trip was for 50 minutes.
Lucky was very informative with some of the various sites and buildings along the Thames on the section the boat has to obey the speed limits, all with a humorous touch. It is expensive but we thought it was well worth it.
An informative and exciting ride with Dave and Nick. A great experience.
Ian and Joseph were truly amazing!! This was such a great way to start off our vacation.I can and #39;t say enough about this boat trip.We topk a boat trip in Paris that was not even close to the quality of this boat ride! They were super accommodating;we got there early and took us before our scheduled time
