It was the first time that I used Golden Tours and it was a very nice experience ,surely I visit London again I select another tour.
This well organized tour allows sufficient time at each stop to actually see and experience the venue. Unfortunately Greenwich and the river tour visits were after dark due to the end of daylight savings time but that was my bad, not theirs. In any event, it was interesting to see Greenwich and the city at night. Leeds was jaw dropping in its setting and emphasis on history while Dover was jaw dropping for the natural beauty. Our guide added a lot to the experience with her in-depth knowledge and quick wit. As for the free lunch, the sandwich is worth every penny you paid for it but the crisps are good. If you are a cat lover be certain to look for Tilly the current cat of Canterbury Cathedral who is both lovely and quite friendly.

Love Love Love Leeds Castle. Want to live there. Canterbury was Amazing. Never dreamed I would ever see the White Cliffs of Dover, yet I did. Greenwich was nice, and the River trip was a perfect ending to a wonderful day.

LEEDS CASTLE - I want to live there. Beautiful. Canterbury was amazing. Dover was Nice. Greenwich was a bit rushed as we had some traffic issues, nothing the wonderful driver and guide can do to control that - the return by river is a nice ending.
This was awesome! We enjoyed the travel thru the country side. We didn't get to visit Dover, it was raining. The Leeds Castle was unbelievable! A must do when visiting London!
Leeds Castle was beautiful, and we got there as soon as it opened so that meant there were barely any people/crowds around, so we got lovely photos and had good access to the information. The bus was comfy and guide did a fantastic job. Rest of stops were nice also, finished with a boat ride back to Westminster.
This one was my favorite tour of all the ones we booked! We had a bus pick us up from a nearby hotel and take us to the bus station. Simon was our tour guide and he was fabulous! The lunch was horrible, so bring your own sandwich if you can help it. We had time to eat at a restaurant in Canterbury. The River Cruise was really not that great. It is the rest of it that you will love the most!
We had an excellent guide with a good amount of time at each stop. My only critique would be the subway sandwich which appeared to only have lettuce in it. Really.. it was so bad and only slightly better than nothing. We loved Leeds Castle -- it was so beautiful and we were blessed with sunny spring weather. The Thames cruise was a nice ending and the entire tour was a good value.
This was a wonderful tour. The weather was perfect and our guide was courteous and knowledgeable. Couldn't have been a better day. Leeds Castle is definitely one of the most beautiful castles to see in person. We had more then enough time to explore all the stops. It helped that everyone was mindful of the schedule and returned to the coach on time. The cruise is actually more of ferry with scheduled stops but you get a great view of the waterline back to central London.
This tour was fantastic! Each site was beautiful and interesting and we were given an ample amount of time to explore. I fully enjoyed myself on this tour. My only comment is that the river cruise is actually more of a shuttle-by-boat back to London. Regardless, it was great.
Un buen tour. Mi principal queja, puede ser la comida, ya que solo consistió en un sandwich de Subway solo con lechuga y pepino, acompañado de agua y una galleta.
Aún así, lo recomiendo!
The tour was great from start to finish. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Leeds Castle was beautiful, Canterbury was a great little village and the Cathedral was magnificent. Dover was pretty quick but we did get some good pictures. Greenwich was also quick. We were a little disappointed we didn't get to see much there, but the cruise down the Thames was excellent at that time of day. Highly recommend this tour.
Leeds Castle was beautiful but quick, Canterbury Cathedral was historically fascinating but again quick, Dover was scenically beautiful and Greenwich was more than I expected. Overall, the whole day was more than what I expected but it was still short-lived for each place. I realised that I needed a day or at least half a day to explore each place.
The best tour for getting an introduction to several English highlights when you have only 2 days in the country. Loved it all.
Very nice tour. Because of the time of year we went, the Thames River cruise was a sunset cruise. It was very nice.
The tour was quite good, but the Victoria Coach Station departure point was a bit of a faff, with tour guides needing paper copies of the tickets we live in 2016 people! and guides running back and forwards between the office and the coach to find people... then we had to wait 20 minutes because our guide wasn't insured to sit in the tour guide's seat on this particular model of tour bus ?!?. Anyway, once we got going it wasn't too bad!
We took the Leeds Castle, Canterbury, Dover, Greenwich tour on Monday 9/15/2015. Golden Tours was professional and timely. Our guide was Omar and he was informative. We had an individual that was about 15 minutes tardy returning to the bus for our Leeds Castle departure so Omar was already busy modifying our Dover tour and pushing our lunch time out. We blew by Dover where Omar did point out the castle and give us some history of the town. We went to Canterbury and enjoyed the town on our own. The same tardy individual at Leeds Castle was late returning to the bus for our Canterbury departure. Omar held up the bus 15 minutes while he went to look for them, we waited about 15 more minutes then we left the individual in Canterbury as it was not fair to the other customers. That delay, coupled with traffic made us late to Greenwich and we missed the boat we were originally to take up the Thames. Our tour to Greenwich was a fast walk by points of interest on our way to the boat. The tour was good, too bad one individual made the rest of us miss our Dover and Greenwich tours . Over all a good tour.
Leeds is fine example of medieval castle. Canterbury is loaded with history and architecture. Greenwich was great to see. This partial walking tour should be guided with audio headphones to make it more efficient. The self-guided tours in Leeds and Canterbury provided little free time to explore. Bonus was quick tour of London to start.

Unfortunately we skipped Dover due to traffic. Also felt rushed in some stops 5 minutes in Greenwich, 1 hour in Canterbury. Leeds Castle is BEAUTIFUL. The cruise was just the London Ferry skip this and do this on your own and try the alternate tour without the cruise hat has same stops. This was a nice day.
Our tour guide Ruth was exceptionally knowledgeable but the trip itself was only okay. The technology in the bus did not work well which meant that we could only hear part of what Ruth was saying for the first leg of the journey. Leeds Castle was nice but not astonishing. Dover and Greenwich were just fly-bys. The river cruise was not a cruise at all but just a taxi ride. Just a so-so trip.
I really enjoyed the Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, Dover and Greenwich with Thames River Cruise Tour from London, our tour guide prepared and knowledgeable, our driver courteous. My favorite part of the tour was the visit to Leeds Castle and Canterbury Cathedral. However, our lunch on the coach, trying to eat lunch on our laps, without a pull-down tray or bottle holder, left much to be desired. I feel like the Dover stop could have included a brief lunch break at a sit-down table to enable a five-star rating.
Very confusing description. Leeds was lovely, Dover was wet but as advertised: a quick ten-minute photo stop, Canterbury was glorious.
It's unclear from the description what happens in Greenwich. I, and a few others, thought we'd have time to tour thru the Royal Observatory or the Old Royal Maritime Museum, but.... We simply walked past those buildings on our way to the Clipper for the river cruise. To be fair, it was nearing 5pm when we arrived at Greenwich, so there may not have been time, but I would have liked that better explained in the description.
Cruise was great, but it's also just part of the London travel system. If you know what you're doing, you can simply swipe your Oyster card and hop on and off wherever it stops.
Our guide was old-lady chatty, rather like going on a tour with your grandmother who reads aloud street signs and points out trucks with French license plates...
Like all bus tours the tour company tries to give you a little bit of everything and I think they may have tried to stuff too many things into one day, but this trip was great to get an idea of where you would like to explore more if you were to come back. Was disappointed in what we were able to see of the white cliffs of Dover. I didn't realize that it would be a view from a great distance. I don't think it should even be mentioned on the description of this tour as it wasn't at all anything to be excited about and the cliffs was the reason I booked this tour.Leeds Castle and Canterbury Cathedral were excellent. Greenwich was good but again there wasn't enough time for it. David the tour guide was a hoot. he gets 5 stars.
Too much in one day. We were running late from the start and it affected the whole day. We had a total of 15 minutes at Dover before trying to get back to Grenwich Green for a ferry
This tour was ok but did not live up to its description. Tour guide was great. But exclusive mead tour means a rushed thimble sized drink in a cramped corner. You see Dover castle for 3 seconds while you drive past. You get to walk past the old naval college. And the relaxing Thames cruise is the high speed river bus. A better description would be Leeds castle, Canterbury cathedral with some other sights along the way.
