Really easy booking. Driver exactly on time. Just wish pick up was a little later. Had to wait over an hour for check in at the airport
Our driver was excellent. He arrived early at our hotel, helped us with our bags, and loaded them into the car. He was professional and well dressed. His vehicle was a nice large SUV with plenty of room for our family and luggage. He was friendly and provided information about London on the way to the airport. He dropped us off at the airport at our terminal and again helped us get our luggage out and loaded on a trolley. We had a bad experience with our first driver this company provided to us on our arrival to London, but this driver we had for our departure from London made up for our first negative experience. We recommend this driver and company.
My husband and I pre-arranged a private transfer through Viator from our London hotel to the Heathrow Airport and confirmed the timing as specified two days ahead. When our driver arrived (early), he parked the vehicle near the corner, but did not come out to identify himself for several minutes as we waited to determine where he was. When he finally came out and walked around to open the cargo area for our luggage, he barely said a word of greeting as he proceeded to load our bags in a disorganized and careless manner. It seemed that he was in a hurry to get back to a personal call because as soon as we were underway, he proceeded to talk on the phone almost the entire drive to the airport. It was Sunday morning and our ride was timely and relatively free of any traffic. When we arrived at the airport, the driver proceeded to open the cargo door and did not take care that our bags were unrestrained and had shifted during the drive. My husband's soft carry-on bag with his Nikon camera fell hard to the ground immediately. Although upon inspection, the camera inside did not seem to be damaged, it was very stressful to have that happen when it was entirely preventable. Despite this poor service, we gave him a good tip and were on our long trip home. We were especially disappointed about this stressful end to our vacation because we had had an excellent experience with a Viator Private Transfer last August when we arrived in London and were taken to our hotel. In contrast to this trip, our driver at that time was courteous, friendly, and careful. We have arranged and taken many tours through Viator in the past and have been very satisfied. Unfortunately, this was a major disappointment.
Our driver, Fernandez, drove us from our Hotel in Westminster to LHR. He arrived promptly for our 11:00 am pick-up, and efficiently navigated the traffic, to get us to the airport in less than one hour. He was friendly and engaging. We would request him personally again and recommend the service.
We had a last minute delay and called the company to ask if we could push the time back a bit. They refused to budge, they will not accommodate last minute changes. Then the driver arrives an hour and a half early. We told him we weren't ready and luckily he waited. We left at the scheduled time. I have never been car sick before but the driver we had was a little rough. He constantly slammed on brakes and constantly swerved and switched lanes. He was very impatient on the road. He even got gas on the way to the airport. You'd think with the waiting he did he would have gotten gas before we got in the car. He took a detour because of traffic but then his detour didn't work out so we back tracked. Took longer time than had he stayed on the road. We still made it to the airport on time but this experience could have been better.
They just didn't show. When husband rang them they said the driver had been at the position 7 hours or 19 hours earlier, they couldn't decide. The problem is that the bookings don't show a time. They just show a date, so even though I put in the right time because I have OCD, there was no way to prove it. So unsatisfactory.
The overall experience was fine. The pick-up driver, was not there when we arrived and we were left looking for him. Ride into town was uneventful, with little to no communication about area, where we were staying and London in general. . Return trip, the driver was early, looked for us and made sure we had everything before leaving and had us at the airport with time to spare
