The I-Venture Card is great money saving way to a la carte your activities. I purchased the 3 activity card and it wasn't enough. In hindsight, I should've bought the 5 pack to maximize the value. If you are debating the I-Venture and The London Pass, don't ! Just buy both of them if your stay is at least 4 days. Also at LHR, buy the Oyster Card separately to save money
I liked it very much, mainly because I was not restricted in time, I could use it when I wanted, that was main difference from London pass which I had too. I went to the Shard, St Paul's Cathedral and London Eye, everything was Ok.
Great way to save money. There were so many places you could use this pass, including meal options. If you have a couple of days in London, this is the way to go and save money!
A little inconvenient to get the actual pass but good to have once we found the ticket office.
Well worth the money. Saw the attractions we wanted and more. If you aren't sure then this Is the way to go.
Good value for money, still kind of new to the operators though cause I had trouble at some attractions with there iventre machine
There is only one word that can describe our trip and that is excellent and that sums it up it was great the venture card is the only way to go no hassles or problems only at the London Tower where you have to go to the traitors gate shop to get your tickets other than that no problems
A must have and excellent value for money. If you use the dinner vouchers make sure you call in advance to reserve and tell them you are using i Venture card as this solves problems later.
The iventure card was the best decision we took when travelling with kids. We liked the options provided on the card also.
But the only issue we faced problem with was the selection of the tourist bus transport CITY TOUR, it was a hopeless service as the bus could not be located, maybe your company should come in partnership with another bus tour company which is famous and reputed in London.
Great buy, but you still have to stand in line to get your final ticket for the Eye.
The only thing costing the Card one star is the hop on/off bus! The stops were not properly marked, the route different to the map, etc
Rest was great value for money!!
Picking up the card turned out to be a hassle partially because the place I went to to pick it up didn't know how to program it. They figured it out but the vendors should be better prepared. Madame Tussauds does NOT take these cards. Getting there 20 min's before they opened and then another hour in line just to have them say they don't take iVenture cards after getting to the reception desk was pretty annoying. I was able to use it for some other places but I don't know if I'd be inclined to ever get another one.
We collected tickets from London Euston station although the staff there did not know how to issue them ! took 30 mins to get sorted. we still had to queue at attractions to be issued with a paper ticket before being allowed entry again took on average 15 mins Madame Tussauds over an hour ! we did save money overall but not the quick pass that we were given to understand .
Crys United States of ...
Overall this card is great value for the price. We were able to see the London Eye, Sea Life Aquarium and Madame Tussauds. However, locating the vendor at the airport proved to be a real chore. My family and I spent 3 hours trying to locate the vendor at Heathrow airport. I think the process to procure this card needs to be more streamlined and made easier for the customer.
A bit of a hassle getting tickets. First you have to change your voucher for a card with the number of activities. Then you still have to get a ticket for the chosen activity, which was not always easy to do, as it usually wasn't at the normal ticket place.
We purchased the 5 attraction pass, we only ended up using it for 3 and at each place there seemed to be a LOT of confusion on how to use the card. It also gets you only the very cheapest entrance or tickets so we ended up having to pay for upgrades. Next time I would do the London Pass
We used the card to go to Madame Tussauds, London Eye and London Dungeon. It would have been better for us to buy just those three. We tried to use it for the Tower of London but they weren't accepting it at the time we were there which was not explained or in fine print anywhere. It was nice that it gave us the option to use it on different things but was frustrating when we got to a place that wouldn't take it.
Most of the vendor's staff does not familiar with i venture card. Takes a while for them to figure it out (asking supervisor etc..). Have to queue on the line to exchange tickets.
We were disppointed with nearly every aspect of this card. First, upon arrival at Heathrow it took us forever to find where to exchange our voucher and walked in circles with heavy bags for quite some time before we found someone who had even heard of the card. We purchased the 7 attaction pass, and struggled to use all 7, we did do the London Eye, Thames River Cruise, which was just a cruise with no commentary of what you were seeing. We did get theatre tickets, but you need to book early again, had to go to a specific location to book the show and the shows available are limited. We also did an Afternoon Tea at Cafe Concerto beware not all of the Cafe Concerto's accept the card, also beware if you are looking for an authentic Tea experience this will be disappointing, ours was not very good but thankfully we had already done an excellent one elsewhere. And the Bus, there are several Hop On / Off buses in London and this one appears to have the least frequency and fewer drop off than the others, For every one of our bus we saw at least 4 or 5 of the Big Bus and the Original Hop Ons/ Hops Offs. Thsi was probably the biggest let down as we had hoped to use it more frequently but because it was so challenging we only ended up using it a few times, there are 2 loops but we only managed to catch the bus for the same loop each time. While you might save money buying this rather than the individual tickets once there, we felt constricted by this and frustrated with trying to find where to catch the bus, exchange the voucher, book the theatre, etc... You will find yourself wasting a lot of your precious time locating these places and waiting for the bus.
Purchased one week prior to arriving in UK.It Offered London Tower,Kensington Palace and the hop on off bus tour all of which were now not available. THat alone would mean we would not have bought it. Additionaly when we arrived at T5 we were unable to collect card at the agent as their machine was not working. One hour later we collected the cards from T3 at much inconvenience. Not having our desired attractions we used 4 of the 5 attractions on places we had seen before just to get some value. Then to get the final offer we went to Blance restaurant again but it was rejected by Iventure block on the card as we had been there once. SO at much traversing we decided to go to eat at HOllywood PLanet. Refused again as albeit not stated by IVenture you can only eat there up to 330pm. So we thought we would try a show. Went direct to Mama MIa and 39 Steps as promoted by Iventure to no avail and Iventure did not respond to calls from each of them. So went to 10 agents in Leicester Sq for half price Iventure tickets of which 3 were official ticket agents to no avail. In summary the card is a fraud with no detail, no contact help and no accountability. BUy it at your peril.
This card was disastrous. I paid 600 euro to avoid queues and hassle instead this card caused me more hassle than if i had simply queued. I had to travel from my hotel to Heathrow airport to collect the cards even though we had flown into gatwick. The guy at the desk took 55 minutes to finally manage to input the codes on my vouchers and produce the cards. 4 cards were produced with receipts but the 5th card did not produce a receipt. After finally getting through to the head office he was assured and assured me that the 5th card was activated. GUESS WHAT...IT WAS'NT ! We couldn't get in to the attractions as we couldn't leave one of our children outside, obviously! We had to find a number for venture ring them, get them to ring and email the attraction! As we were on a 2 day sightseeing trip from Ireland...TIME...was of the essence! Eventually the girl in the office said she would send a new card to our hotel, this never happened ...then they said they would meet us at sea life aquarium...this didn't happen...then they said they would send someone to Madame Tussauds with it. We queued up outside and eventually when we were almost at the desk i rang in exasperation ...the person was outside Madame Tussauds all along with headphones in listening to music with no indication that they were from venture ...no sign...not even holding the iventure card...they knew they were looking for a family of 5 and still made no effort to seek us out. It ruined our entire holiday , the stress, hassle and we ended up not having time to do the HOP ON HOP OFF BUS TOUR. So we ended up paying for 5 for an attraction that we didn't get time to see because of the shambles of a service provided by this company. Never again. My children were so disappointed.
You might save a bit of money, but some attractions do require you to go different places to pick up tickets and make reservation in person and in advance, also the pick up location was not clearly stated on the website, so we had to run and ask around to get tickets which waste lots of time.
Okay if you are not in rush or already know how to get around in London, but it was kinda inconvenience for us since we were first timer and with a tight schedule.
This card was completely worthless and waste of my money. I thought by buying this card in advance you would be able to SKIP the long line/queue, but instead you have to wait in the same long line with everybody else. In addition, we couldn't redeem the ticket at the ticket counter, we had to get the actual ticket at another location (i.e. Tower of London). When we went for the boat ride down the Thames, none of the operators knew what this card was, and when we did find the operator they stated the wait would be close to 1 hour. So you buy the card?
